Had three of those spam calls from numbers similar to mine in the space of an hour and a half this morning

Each time I've blocked the number afterwards but each call is from a number with a just a couple of different digits.

Three more today, this time from a 0203 number and the feckers are leaving their bulls*** automated messages on my voicemail now.

Wonder if there's anything my network provider can do

"The radical plan to transform Kendals and a corner of Deansgate forever"

Ooh - that sounds interesting. 'Radical plan' eh? Let's read on!

"Owner Investec, an international banking giant, has submitted plans to revamp Grade II-listed Kendals into a high-end office development."

"The work is expected to take three years and would also see the demolition of the King Street West multi-storey car park and adjoining Fraser building to be replaced by a 14-storey office block and extended public realm."

f*** me - what is wrong with these average middle-management, blue sky thinking c****? Sucking the life out of every single thing that they touch. First against the wall for these dreary b*****ds

Build them and they will come

But of course they won't.

Convinced that a lot of the office and student accommodation blocks are being done so that when the demand is no longer there, they can be converted into flats at a standard below what would be required if they built flats straight away

I'd give it 6 months

I was being generous. Bosses will insist on being in the office to have their ego stroked and have people getting them lunch and will then insist their senior managers are in who will then insist their middle managers are in who'll then insist their teams are in.

Hopefully people still care about mental health issues when this is over, and point out the harm it causes people travelling to and from work for a couple of hours every day.

Physical health too - I mean being stuck on packed public transport is a perfect way to catch flu, bugs, coughs and colds - it's not just the 'rona that loves a packed train/bus.

Just bought a guitar pedal for £150 - got a bill from Customs for £94 cos of Brexit. c****

Ouch. Been toying with buying a "new" second hand guitar and of course much cheaper from abroad but don't want to risk the import lottery.

My new neighbour.

Has the telly in his bedroom on all night some nights, plays Celine Dion at all hours, had the gas board out knocking on the houses either side on Sunday morning at 1am because he had a headache and reckons he has got carbon monoxide poisoning and then last night was cheering on the Mancs before watching some very loud porn for about twenty minutes until I banged on the wall with a shoe.

c***.

speaking of new neighbours...

I was about to go on a company call a couple of weeks ago and I got a knock at my door..

A fella was stood there and said 'do you have a VW GTi?'

and immediately my heart sank.... I said I had... he said 'I have just moved in upstairs (I live in a flat) and have just gone into your car with mine.'

I have had the car years and never had an incident in it... So I go down and sure enough there is a massive dent in the passenger door of my car.. He admits fault and I take his details, but said I am happy to sort outside of insurance. I get quotes and get it booked in and he pays me the money and all sorted..

But during the process and whilst waiting for the money I started to prepare for the worst that he might just do one and not pay up. I did a bit of checking up, his name was legit and found him on Facebook... his latest post was a picture of Jordan Picture holding Virgil's leg aloft in the air celebrating.. 🙄

One way to meet the new neighbours I guess.
