Molby Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Always interesting to hear bits and pieces about the process. Interview here cheers for that I love that s***
Billy Dane Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I've seen some of the reports they prepare and it's really interesting how they develop a strategy for each game based on the information supplied. I think it's how our speed out of the blocks at the first whistle initially came from. They spend hours putting together the videos for the team to watch prior to the games and they use similar software at all ages throughout the club.
Ed the Wool Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Good that. Reminded me of some of the mad s*** Rafa used to pull, probably to completely wrong foot opponents from the off. Brendan certainly seems like he has a plan he's executing on which like his results are really encouraging.
JonShar Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Great read that, cheers. Really like that we don't start talking about the opposition 2 days before the match - so the primary focus is on us and how we play, rather than trying to solely stop what the other team does.
RP Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Really like that we don't start talking about the opposition 2 days before the match Erm, yeah we do. That's precisely when we start talking about them. :D/> Edit: there's obviously an 'until' missing from your post. I have a copy of a report from a few years ago (as my mate used to compile them), for a match when we played Arsenal on a Sunday. I got given it in the pub before the match - really interesting. Doesn't half change how you watch the game! Edited September 4, 2014 by RP

Guatered Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 What a great job though. The respect for Brendan shines through too. A very good read
Earl Hafler Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Always interesting to hear bits and pieces about the process. Interview here So stats have value Who knew ?
RP Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 When interpreted by intelligent professionals, of course they do.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 When interpreted by intelligent professionals, of course they do. Hodgey loves them.
Raj Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 When interpreted by intelligent professionals, of course they do. haha
Hassony Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Good read, although Rodgers would have saved the club money by just logging on here and reading Rory's posts
muleskinner Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Presumably Woy, being at the pinnacle of international football, has someone doing similar work for him?
Cam Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Great interview but kinda depressing in that it shows just how little we all know.
Molby Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Presumably Woy, being at the pinnacle of international football, has someone doing similar work for him? yes no doubt when he showed up here, the existing Rafa-era lads asked what they should be doing about opposition tactical reports "no we won't be needing those"

chiliking Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 What an utterly incompetent manager Roy was/ is.He didn't do one single thing right. Apart from beating Chelsea, with me in the stands
RP Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Not been your argument before. It's always been my belief.
Smith Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) Football. It's a simple game. Edited September 6, 2014 by Smith
_00_deathscar Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 yes no doubt when he showed up here, the existing Rafa-era lads asked what they should be doing about opposition tactical reports "no we won't be needing those" Certainly f***ing showed vs Man City 2nd game of that season didn't it.
