  1. I’d have settled for a shot. Did we even take a decent shot on goal after the Salah miss?
  2. What was with the passing around at the back all game?
  3. No wonder Elanga missed if he’s making saves off his own shots.
  4. Is this the time Ronaldo was injured?
  5. Transfermarkt has it at 7+5, so a G+A every 56 minutes and that obviously doesn’t include his silly miss rounding the keeper in the UEFA Cup and any rebounded shots that ended up as goals etc.
  6. His body didn't really change later, and he did just fine after leaving LFC - and maybe he was never going to make it at LFC, but I do get the impression he'd have done far better under Klopp (stating the obvious there...). Rodgers didn't know how to use him at all. Luis Alberto another one - there were a few that went on to have decent careers elsewhere. As you said, there were more misses back then too for sure, but with hindsight, a few of the 'fails' were good players that the manager just didn't know how to utilise to full effect because he wanted to play with his old chums from when he worked at Swansea or some crap.
  7. Lambert doesn’t strike me as a Transfer Committee signing. Klopp has definitely helped turn some of his signings into superstars, but it would be revisionism to say that it’s all down to Klopp too. The TC signed some good players that Brendan had absolutely not a clue how to work with, Aspas being the prime example but there were a few others like that. That the success rate on the whole has gone up is down to Klopp for sure.
  8. Disagree. Alonso was a machine (a very good and sexy machine though). This was something else entirely.
  9. Lovely goal - cheeky Trent. That's very nice from the fans as well.
  10. Definitely don’t want Atletico if they do get through. They could be in the relegation places and somehow they’ll find a way to beat us. Frustrating team.
  11. Who did we play right wing back or something but was actually a striker?
  12. Nah it will be cancelled/postponed. No forfeit.
  13. Jota, Thiago, Keita and Konate. Some too early to tell (well 1) and some really haven’t worked out
  14. Seems a bit like he didn’t really win all that much - just like Ronaldo - relative to their talents. Ronaldo obviously can at least point to the World Cup. Injuries and bad club choices a huge part of that though - and I reckon in Baggio’s case wrong time wrong country (Italian managers managing a player like that?) I reckon Totti was overrated. The others nah... That’s how you know you’ve made it in life. How many others have their own game? And it was a great game too!
  15. There's a biopic on Netflix on Roberto Baggio - very bizarre, it's actually quite well acted, well shot too for the most part, but awfully directed - although does have some great moments. I missed much of his peak but saw him in his later stages - of course everyone knew him for the miss, although have seen compilations, goals etc. I knew he had injury problems, but didn't realise it was basically Ronaldo-like. Unfortunately he never truly got his redemption the way Ronaldo did even though maybe he should have gone to the 2002 World Cup after his exploits towards the end there. So - how good was he?
