Tour is crazy. Done it twice, 20 years ago and 10 years ago. Both were great. Had a local lad both times, great banter and represented city beautifully.

if nothing else, a well hosted tour will see people spend more in the shop.

I have done the tour a few times. Last time was just after winning the league in 2020 when you could have a photo with the trophy. 
Thought it was really well done to be honest and the guides were great. Shame they have let it go to s*** … it’s like a tour representation of our on the pitch standards

Yes! Increase those shop sales. We may be a s***show on and off the pitch but we are making money. Although when I say we, I mean a handful of the world's richest men.

I know a lad who does/did the tours, up until I last saw him about a year ago he was still doing it. Local lad, great fella, hope they haven't got rid of the guides.

We did the tour a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed it but what really made a difference was interacting with the guides in each location. Felt like they all had a story or two to tell, and they were entertaining as they'd probably told the same story a million times.

We were lucky I think that we weren't in a particularly "chatty" group so we didn't have to wait long for an opportunity to chat to each guide.

So for anyone thinking of doing it, I'd advise forgetting about the iPad thingy and just making a beeline for each of the guides.

I went with my son three weeks ago on a Tuesday morning.

Enjoyed being in the ground, but the ‘tour’ was crap. The audio is clearly for fans whose first language isn’t English. I know about Heighway and Sami and Julian Dicks, so I didn’t bother listening.

What you want is to be shown around by a human who you feel is enjoying themselves at least a little bit, not a video of Virg turning around and leading you into ….. nothing much at all.

Money generating money saving rubbish.

To be fair, I did chat to a couple of the lads pointing where you should go next. One about the local effects of the blues leaving Goodison and another lad about the Roy years. Both were great. But those lads should be doing the tours, not pointing their fingers at where groups of people should walk next.
