He was diagnosed with prostate cancer five years ago so let's hope it's not related to that.

Only had the chance to see him in videos myself (James and Friedel were about when i first started watching us if i remember correctly) but my Dad raves about how great a player he was every time i mention goalkeepers. That's what makes a true legend I suppose, when a player is so good people tell their children about them. YNWA.

I always remember in the 70's when we played easy teams or testimonials the crowd would always jokingly sing what I think was "Clemence for China". He would always look so embarrassed and smile.

Get well soon Clem, all the best mate. I was too young to appreciate him as a keeper but everyone of that era says he was the best around.
