Now that he obviously feels the heat, there is a question that springs to mind.

If Roy were to turn things around and we were to start playing well and winning every game, would you still want him out?

The whole reason he needs to go is because this will never happen.

Its like saying 'what if we played Poulsen every game and he became as good as Gerrard'

a) its clearly not going to happen

b) persisting with him will damage us in the long term.

Yes. It's not just results that's the problem. He obviously doesn't get what we as fans and as a club are all about. The fact that he could probably increase his popularity ten fold just by not speaking in public anymore says it all for me.

Regardless of what we feel on Roy, he will be gone in June ...

He is not the manager to take us where we want to be, and NESV are smart enough to realize that ...

But not smart enough to realise he should be gone now? Worrying, no?

And between now and June lies January. 16 days wasted to then. 31 days to wreak further havoc and then 4/5 months to await your inevitable "in June" not "by June". Marvellous.

You might as we ll say "If the heavens opened up and Jesus came down on a white horse from heaven and said Roy was God would you still want him sacked" both are as likely as each other

Jonh Henry has made his fortune by trading futures ... I am not sure how much you know about the futures trading, but in general, you need to have an analytical mind and a great sense of the ''big picture'' in order to be successful in that business ... Unlike the incompetent morons at Newcastle and Blackburn, Henry and Werner are taking their time, because they want to make the correct long-term decisions for LFC ... They have acted in that way at the Boston Red Sox, and have been proven successful there ... There is no reason to expect anything different at LFC ... In their agenda, winning the 4th spot means nothing ... As the great Shankly would've said: '‘If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing.’'

Winning the 4th spot gives you more money and a better chance of the players you'll need to go further, John Henry will get that if you dont seem to

We have been listening to that story for 2 decades ... We need something better than that ... No matter how much money we make from the Champions League, we will never have more money than Real Madrid, City or Chelsea ... Therefore, we must beat them by appointing some people of better quality at our club, people who would attract/recruit better players for less money ... First of all, we need a top class CEO, someone that will competently run the club on daily basis ... Second of all, we need an absolutely top class manager, someone that will attract super-talented players to LFC for less money than they are offered by the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and City ... Finding these two people is by no means an easy task ...

yes but what if he starts winning every game?

If he wins every game until the end of the season, he will win the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA Cup ... I think that he will earn at least another season by doing that ...

Not striclty true. We have enough reach to match anyone in commercial earnings, Spain are looking at a more equal collective tv deal so less for Real and Barca, we are looking to move stadiums. As of two seasons time, the owners of City and Chelsea will only be allowed to give them €15m a season in funding over their break even point. It's going to become a very even financial fight at the top level, without excessive debt or excessive owners being allowed to corrupt the competition.

Broadly agree about being run well, but I'm not sure the trick is to persuade an Ozil to come here for less because the manager is such a genius, it's more in getting to the talent before anyone else or finding talent in players that others have overlooked. Agree that not having the most money means you have to gain in other areas, but that still doesn't mean you disregard income or the importance of CL football, you need to fight for every inch and advantage you can find. It absolutely matters if we dont get into 4th this season. John Henry specifically talks of the need to grow revenue to deal with the payroll black hole, I doubt he'll be relaxed about not being in the CL again, it's a huge kicker.

There's more chance of Bin Laden becoming the US President.

Of course not, why would we?

However, that scenario seems pretty unlikely

And what exactly is stopping City and Chelsea owners from ''buying'' 1 million club shirts every season ? Until this new system starts to work properly, at least a decade will be gone ... I am perfectly aware of the UEFA's financial fair-play rules that are to be implemented, but there is always a way to spend more money, even at the sports that have strict salary cap rules ... I assume that you are aware of the ''luxury tax'' rule that exists in American sports ...

My point is, our owners need to make some very important strategic decisions in a very near future, and appointing a caretaker manager is not one of those decisions ... I am much more interested in the identity of our new CEO, and of course, in the identity of our new long-term manager that will be appointed in June ... Those two appointments will define our immediate, but also our long-term future and our ability to compete for honors ...

We can't afford to wait until the end of the season. He's done enough damage on and off the pitch. I also want Mr.Purslow stoned to death at Anfield.

But yes, I'd still want Roy out if he won the league, based on the fact that he's a c***.

In 08/09 season, I didn't care who we played, I had that confidence that we could beat anyone and everyone, and we pretty much did. These days, we s*** ourselves when we get drawn with Manchester United in the FA Cup and our "leader" even tells the media what a shame it is that we're playing United.

The man is just pathetic.
