Molby Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Any reason for it to be so late? it's the first home PL game that's live, following the close of the transfer window

Billy Talbot Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 (edited) Que? A league fixture scheduled for the same day as the FA Cup Final?? Yeah. The FA have decided since they're so good f***ing things up, they're gonna f*** up their own cup. I've watched every FA cup final since I was about 10 regardless of who was in it. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I won't be watching it any more, not unless Liverpool are in it. Or we've had our fixture rearranged. Absolute imbeciles they are. They should be f***ing outlawed. Outlawed, then hunted down and shot like the moronic b******s they are. Edited July 6, 2010 by jr_ewing
Rory Fitzgerald Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 LIVERPOOL v ARSENAL - Moves to Sunday, August 15 - Kick-Off 4pm. This game will be transmitted live on Sky Sports. I can now get married in peace on Saturday 14th
smithdown Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 it's the first home PL game that's live, following the close of the transfer window So? It should be on regardless of whether Sky are there to have it live in the UK. It'll be on live elsewhere. It'll get publicity.
Gunga Din Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 So? It should be on regardless of whether Sky are there to have it live in the UK. It'll be on live elsewhere. It'll get publicity. sky games are the better option. they might then decide not to show us at Anfield anymore because they cant guarantee teh game going ahead, and will cost the club more
johngibo YPC Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Sky games are the best bet. There is publicity and there is widespread embrassmentPlus everyone will be f***ing livid by then
Molby Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 we really ought to start a thread of enlistment for action, even if contingent on (insert brief description of what the state of the club needs to look like for conditional enlistment to become actual reporting for duty) and also describe the various actions so that those enlisting have a handy reference point it will say something like: with Gerrard and Torres sold an a woefully inadequate sum having been reinvested and RBS being complicit, our club is under attack from without and within you have enlisted for the following duties: check your emails for ordersmeantime - keep calm, carry on can someone else do it? I'm so very tiredmy brain hurts...everything hurts
Red Kent Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Yeah. The FA have decided since they're so good f***ing things up, they're gonna f*** up their own cup. Wembley is hosting the Champions League Final on what should have been on the same day as the FA Cup Final. The FA Cup Final could not be put back so they brought it forward.
Davvo Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Wembley is hosting the Champions League Final on what should have been on the same day as the FA Cup Final. The FA Cup Final could not be put back so they brought it forward. Is that going to be the case every year, now the EC final has moved to a Saturday ? I also notice they've done away with the early season midweek games, which would presumably have solved this problem. They could do with a long term solution, as the FA CUP sharing a weekend with penultimate league fixtures is a recipe for fixture headache's, especially of the final is between two teams fighting for the league title, and also through to European Semi's. They can't put the league game back, and will possibly not have any free midweek's between FAC Semi and Final. Could be a real f*** up.
Senrab_nhoj Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Wembley is hosting the Champions League Final on what should have been on the same day as the FA Cup Final. The FA Cup Final could not be put back so they brought it forward. Don't let any sense get in the way of a good rant
smithdown Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 sky games are the better option. they might then decide not to show us at Anfield anymore because they cant guarantee teh game going ahead, and will cost the club more aye of course, I'm not soft like. But we're not going to wait four months are we? y'know, ffs and that? Four months? Better we just get on with it. Sky'll be going bonkers anyway with the threat of it. Who is televising the Uefa Chalice this year? The PL have contracts to show our live games abroad too. They won't want them dilly-dallied with.
Nathan Explosion Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Is that going to be the case every year, now the EC final has moved to a Saturday ? No, because Wembley isn't hosting it every year.
Davvo Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 No, because Wembley isn't hosting it every year. What, so when Wembley's not hosting the EC, the FA will have no problem scheduling the FA Cup final for the same day ? I seriously doubt that.
