Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 well? This (may) show our relative confidence
richwilks Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 6th all day long. Rafa to leave or be sacked. Gerrard to come out unhappy with things. Torres to declare his future is with Liverpool and will do one season out of the CL. Masch will sign a new deal. Mourinho will take over. There will be a big investment in the summer. Next season we will 38 out of 38 league games and Torres will finish with 1003 goals while Gerrard cleans Kaka's boot at Real Madrid.
Gunga Din Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 7th, with 64 points, based on the results of my input into the predictor on the bbc
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 I go 6th - I think one of Villa, Spuds & Citeh will balls up
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 * - balls up more than we do what's what? UEFA = 5th, FAC and 6th?
Kite Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 7th, with 64 points, based on the results of my input into the predictor on the bbc Actually got exactly the same when i did the predictor thing too. Only recompense was Arsenal pipping Utd by 1 point to the title
Redkop Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I voted 6th only because I found it too hard to click on 7th and admit how deflated I feel, although I know in my heart it will be 7th.
Davvo Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) * - balls up more than we do what's what? UEFA = 5th, FAC and 6th? 5th and 6th are certs for Europa League. If Spurs make the FA Cup Final, then 7th could come into play too, assuming Spurs were to finish top 6. We're going to need an almighty display of bottling from the other 3 contenders if we're to get 4th. Edited March 23, 2010 by Davvo
Gilps Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) We need Spurs to win their replay tomorrow. A Fulham-Pompey semi would effectively rule out 7th place getting a Europa spot, wouldn't it? Assuming Spurts finish higher than 7th that is. Edited March 23, 2010 by Gilps

Assuming Spurts finish higher than 7th that is. Not sure, I thought Pompey couldn't play in Europe due to administration ? If that's the case, perhaps Pompey getting to the Final is best The one sure thing is that if Fulham make the final, 7th definitely doesn't make it. Either way, it's a sad state of affairs that we're even discussing it Edited March 23, 2010 by Davvo

It will cost Liverpool up to 25 million quid for Rafa and his team to leave. I wouldn't bank on us finishing sixth at all. As for players leaving, Masch almost a certainty, IMO, and likewise Torres for financial considerations. As for this big investment this summer. There may be 20 million around for transfers but don't hold your breath. The Hicks and Gillett saga should have made you cautious in that regard!
Andy @ Allerton Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Where's the A@A option?!! I voted 4th because of our usually strong finish and our experience.
blago Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I can't see us getting 4th although Spurs and City have tougher games. Villa have the easiest run in but I can't see them getting 4th as I expect them to crumble. I have voted 6th but if we win 6 out of 7 matches it might be enough. I only expect us to win around 5 though.
