I'm not going to witness a miracle........

People say that the more times you say that you're going to win, the more you tend to convince yourself that you will; are these our "mind games"? It always amuses me to go to Chelsea as they really arer so dumb, just don't get us and I doubt whether they ever will. When we turned to applaud them after they went 3-1 up in the CL semi last year, they just continued to abuse us and didn't realise the respectful poignancy of the moment. So we've expressed our belief that we will overcome this deficit and that's all the pundits seem to talk about now because they just aren't prepared to put their necks on the line and bet against us any more.

So tomorrow I will be there but not expecting to witness a miracle (although I wouldn't complain), I'll be there to show support for the team's fight to overcome these odds and continue to push the Mancs right up to the bitter end of the season.

Personally I love the fact that these occasions are unique to Liverpool FC and will always demonstrate why we are unique.

There's irony of our losing the first leg to Chelsea (in the CL). It comes from the fact that the team were more focussed on the league ( for the first time in a while) and Chelsea brought their A game. What happens next depends a lot on how much the team is wants the CL over the PL..

On our day we can take anybody. Needing to score 3 goals is not as big an ask as it seems considering we've recently beaten several teams by that score-line. If we score 2 quick goals I'm confident Chelsea will panic..

Agree with the sentiment. An early goal would change things from defiance to optimisim, and that isn't all that unlikely

Or, IF we can get in to a position of being 2-1 up any time up to the 85th minute, also not that fanciful a notion.

Regardless of the result tomorrow, it's quite entertaining that most of the media won't come out and write us off like they would have done a few years ago. Now they are hedging their bets like Martin Samuel did at the weekend:

"Do I think Liverpool can score 3 at Chelsea, yes. Do I think they will, no I don't think so."

Before 2005, they would have laughed at the mere idea of us having any chance at all.

Doesnt even need to be an early goal. 0-1 at half time and then a second goal at any point upto about 75 mins would leave them s**tting bricks.

Cos they know we have to...

if that makes sense...

I'm hoping for a miracle.

you could also argue, they know we need 3 therefore if we have 2 or more with 30 mins to go they'll panic

Can see us scoring two, then having a really contreversial descision for us, turned down by the ref, in Chelsea's favour. No doubt the ref would of been told, again, that Chelsea would not like to lose 3-0

Looking forward to tonight a lot.

I'd already given it up as lost last week so I don't feel nervous at all and am looking forward to seeing us go for it.

We have been the form team in Europe over the past month though and have the two of the best attacking players in the game though so who knows? Chelsea were good but we were extremely poor last week - that won't happen again.

I believe much of our current form in the title race is down to the fact that we thought we were out of it and have since played with much more freedom. Hopefully there'll be more of that tonight.

A Torres or Gerrard special in the first half hour will get the nerves going, thats what we need to pull it off.

Agree with this, it's nice for once not having to be nervous going into the game.

If we're to stand a chance tonight, we really need to score two in the first. And that's not impossible.

there are no such things as miracles. You generally get what you deserve

Juve 2-3 Mancs after Juve were 2-0 up

Milan 3-3 LFC - we all know that one

Mancs 1-4 LFC - we know this too

Results you'd never expect happen. Even if Chelsea score tonight, not a lot changes. We need 3 either way.

Tonight - Chelsea 2-4 LFC

If that happens, I'll be pulling 'it' off.
