Rafa's post match comments are still interesting and worth listening to, although probably for the first time ever, he was drawn on the referee in last night's post match interview - hope that's not a sign of things to come. I gave up listening to Ged for the last year or so of his reign because he had stopped talking sense.
As summaries go, I think that about sums things up very accurately. One other thing that i'd add is that, Gerrard apart, we do everything at walking pace and we struggle so badly to inject some pace when it is needed.
I bet you love the guy who stands there for 15 minutes during a game with his phone to his ear as he frantically waves his other arm in the air.........the purpose of the whole exercise being to make himself visibly evident to his mate who is elsewhere in the ground
.........and came up with some stats that I never knew, like they won 18 league titles, 5 European Cups, 3 Uefa Cups, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups and the results showed that they were lucky to win all of them" @ the bitter fans
I think Rafa will stick with 4-4-2 Garcia, Gerrard & Zenden will start in midfield with either Riise or Bellamy making up the 4th spot. If Riise, then Warnock may start at LB.
The point being made in the OP is very valid, and indeed the loss of Didi Hamann from the squad has taken from the experience available to Rafa. Having said that, I'm not sure who is out there in the Gary Mac mould.
