  1. 1. Hyypia 2. Reina 3. Crouch
  2. Will Fat Freddy parade him again before the "best supporters in the land" when he returns from injury ? Now that it looks like Kuyt has snubbed them, they need something else to party about in the next 25 years.
  3. In seasons gone by they tended to fork out big money on 1 player each year....eg Ferdinand & Rooney. However, they didn't get as much CL money last season as they usually do and also perhaps their substantial season ticket money is now being used to service the Glazier's debts that the club inherited.
  4. I used to look forward to this thread every week. This season will be poorer for the opportunity to have a weekly pop at this k**bhead, because he never failed to set himself up for it.
  5. What's "recommending" that they no longer do it going to achieve ? If players were doing it to gain an advantage, and the Premier League are not going to introduce a penalty against doing it, why would players stop doing it ? This is another idiotic way of the Premier League of being seen to act on something controversial, but not really doing anything at all. This is just pushing the problem down to the referees once more and that will only lead to more problems between players/managers & referees.
  6. Could be close to the team, but it shows how very weak we are in the key areas of central defence & central midfield. However, I suspect he may go 4-5-1 in Germany and pray for a draw. If he leaves Carr, Kilbane & Miller out (as you have done), it will be a positive move.
  7. I'm sure Staunton will wave to Sanchez as the Norn Ironers pass us on their way up the World rankings as we slide on down. How soon before the ROI slip out of the top 100 ?
  8. The worst home performance since Denmark thumped us 4-1 under Eoin Hand. "They did to us what we wanted to do to them" - said Staunton. Well Steve, if you believe that we could ever to that to a Holland team with this squad of players, then you are seriously deranged. You might start by dumping Stephen Carr, Liam Miller & Kevin Kilbane. Then you might introduce a bit of defensive organisation, and that includes having a midfield that will actually work hard, track back & get some tackles in. When you have some solidity introduced, perhaps you could start dreaming of dominating a Dutch team.
  9. "a one off".......LMAO at that History began in 2004/05 for them and our 40 years of European nights is completely lost on them. Massive European nights at Anfield against Inter Milan, Bruges, St. Etienne, Bayern Munich, Auxerre, Olympiakos to name but a few.......perhaps they were just figments of our imagination. Just like the ManU fans that crawled out from under their stones in the early 90's, the Chav fans have no sense of what went before......which might be acceptable if they just got their facts right when trying to have a go at other clubs.
  10. Hobbs replaced Carra in 81st minute @ 2-0. Poor lad is having a tough, tough pre-season.
  11. Probably Crewe Alexander.
  12. Ah, something else they have in common with Chelsea then !
  13. Proves yet again how Ferguson is obsessed with us. Just because we had a top Spanish player with the same name as a Formula One racing driver, he wants to go and get one too.
  14. But it was a BBC documentary, concentrating primarily on the cities in which the English fans based themselves and the difficulties they caused in those cities. It's main contributor was an English copper. A thread was started on the documentary, so it makes perfect sense that the criticisms are going to centre around the English fans.
  15. yeah, and "my grandad killed your grandad".....what a shower of c**ts !
  16. Is he related to Doug ?
  17. It was sickening to watch and to think how these k**bheads can take over these events so easily. That bit where the England "fans" were on the steps (in Stuttgart i think) waiting for the German game to end on the big screen so that they could attack the German people sickened me no end. A little girl roaring crying on her dad's shoulder's 'cos these morons took over what must have promised to be a great day for her and now she's probably afraid to ever go to any event associated with football again.
  18. Looking at the size of Molby in the NW Masters last night, he'd shake the Kop no problem.
  19. Not really that short, is he....just look at the two he chose to stand between, poor lad.
  20. Not a lot of people know this, but his real name is not "Kewell injured", it's actually Harry Kewell.
  21. Thanks for the offer of all those tickets last night Kev....I look forward to taking you up on it
  22. So he's finally passed out, allowing you to use the 'puter
  23. I think the first four words of his original post suggest not
  24. Ok, I'm a bit bored, but here goes...... We all started following the club at different times, and squad numbers have changed things hugely, but for Shirt Numbers 1 to 12, who do you immediately associate with each number...doesn't have to be your favourite player or the best player, but when you see the shirt number who is the first player that comes into your mind as being the most memorable in that number. Here's mine : 1. Ray Clemence 2. Phil Neal 3. Alan Kennedy 4. For some reason, no 1 player stands out in my mind for this number (tbh, Jason McAteer was the first name that came into my head, but I can't bring myself to putting him in) 5. Ray Kennedy (honourable mention to Ronnie Whelan) 6. Alan Hansen 7. Kenny Dalglish (although my first hero, Keegan, had it when i started following them, i had to say Kenny) 8. Jimmy Case 9. Ian Rush (emphatically) 10. Jan Molby 11. Graeme Souness 12. David Fairclough (emphatically)
