Once Jerzy did not leave during the transfer window it was a logical thing to do. Jerzy is good experienced back up for Reina and bar any more sending offs and injuries Carson will not get a sniff. Tiredness is one of the main factors. Rafa's system is highly dependent on fast combination plays with lots of off the ball movement. For the last 6 weeks it has been mostly lacking.

Yeah Fowler onside (clearly) and Cisse just off. Rules should mean that Fowler's goal should have stood as Cisse was not interfering in play and the linesman when in doubt should always favour the attacker. Therefore he got it doubly wrong. As an aside I do think the rule is stupid and such errors result from it being stupid. Cisse may not have interfered as per current rule but it is obvious that a player in Cisse's position will distract a goaler or defender as they know the ball may come to him etc. etc. There is no guarantee that he is surely offside, especially for the keeper who is not seeing the defensive line as well as the defenders. Still we was robbed a goal...........
