Here we go again, now Madrid want Gerrard

According to PA Sport, "Real Madrid include Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard on their list of transfer targets, according to the club`s footballing director Benito Floro."

Why they think anyone would want to join that circus of a team is beyong me.

ANY Club with money/prestige etc in Europe is constantly going to be after/link themselves with Gerrard - it's cos he's one of the best players in the World.

just have to live with it and for the most part, ignore it.

...but a bid should be accepted to end links like these.

theyre supposed to over 150 million euros in debt according to Balague.. I wouldnt be surprised if Gerrard does not play for Liverpool next season.. The balance of the team seem to better with Alonso and Sissoko in the team.. would hate that though

 that's a loony post!

Anyway, I reckon we should send Rafa and Gerrard to Real, 2 for 1 offer - just saves a lot of trouble doesn't it?

Yeah, with Gerrard on the right. Anyone who thinks the team will be better off without Gerrard must have been watching a different player than me for the last five years.

To be honest, who gives a f*ck whether Madrid want him or not. I'm amazed this actually bothers anyone.

I'm not surprised they want Gerrard - in fact they probably want a lot of players. Their current squad is ready to fall apart at the seams with all their ageing, disinterested Galacticos and second rate defenders. They need to spend heavily and wisely this summer IMO, just to stay in the top three domestically.

Due to a mixture of arrogance, mis-management and poor decisions in the transfer market Real Madrid are a complete shambles at the moment, and there's no way in the world Gerrard would want to go there.

I actually think its quite funny the way they are still drawing up their little lists, despite the fact that they are crap and in huge debt. Maybe they should put Del Bosque on their list - after the shameful way they treated their last decent manager.

Lets' all laugh at Real, lets all laugh at Real, la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la...

You gotta expect one of these 'unsettling' stories every time we have a big match coming up. My local sunday team boss could claim : 'I'd love Gerrard here, we'd actually win a game!' and someone in the media would publish it...media goons

Not worried.. Real Madrid are a sinking ship.. signing Gerrard wouldn't be enough.. they'd still need about 6,7,8,9,... new players..

The 'Real' power in spain is Barcelona... now if they went after Gerrard i'd be worried.. because playing for them in my opinion would be very tempting.. but i think Henrys there main target.

Sporting Director making purchasing recommendations to the Club President?

I suppose what the manager wants (whomever that may be) doesn't really count anymore?

Circus.

To be fair (and I'd normally agree with all the above) the manager isn't going to be in his job next season.

unfeckinbelievable... Ive never said we should sell Stevie... selling a proven player like Gerrard to be able buy a 17 year old novice like Aguero is foolish..

As for Madrid being a sinking ship.. I wouldnt say they are, theyve already sunk... its just that great clubs resurface and the team they have is a few signings and a good manager short of being able to challenge for the title..

I'll try and ask a spanish media friend about it. They're a bunch of c**ts. They reckon they can get anyone, they're a spent force!

well there are few managers usually available after the world cup.. who knows Ancelloti could be their next manager..a contract is not worth the paper its written on usually

I wonder if Sven and Davies will allow Real Madrid's footballing director Benito Floro, into the hotel during the World Cup. No doubt Kenyon will be back as the norm
