I don't know... Can't seem to warm to him... I like my forwards to tenacious and be a general pain in the a*** for defender's...

No chance, they would start talking to his agent a few years before his contract expires and get him to run it down and leave on a free

Give him to the end of season.... If he's not up to scratch work out a deal with Bayern in exchange for Olise.

Read that Mitoma is on a free next summer. These are the types of player's we need to pick up like Arsenal have been doing over the last few years to fill out their squad.

Good news if true, if we manage to nab Wharton next summer our midfield is sorted.

35-40m is about right... We need these squad building signings like Arsenal have been doing with Trossard, Madukeke etc... we should be really be targeting these types of signings nicking decent players from other club's when they have a few years left on the contracts.

Everyone loves a comeback story too

I like Minteh... He's got battling qualities and works hard.... The clips of him showing going shoulder to shoulder with defenders reminds me of Mane.

Think I read somewhere he has been used as a DM before.

I still don't understand why we want all in on Isak when João Pedro was a better for the Firmino role.

Just release him... No point in keeping him

Hidden gem of a signing

Every day I check this thread with a glimmer of hope.... One day! One day!

Not too bothered about Wharton... I want players who can run all day to help the press... Want us to recreate the Fab-Gio-Hendo midfield... I think Szobo can do the Hendo role and maybe Ryan for the Gio role but we are desperate for someone in the Fabinho mould... He WAS the final piece to our midfield jigsaw.

I got a bit excited to see that I had six pages to catch up on.... But he's still here

His role at Leverkusen as I understood it was he played more of a Salah like in terms of not being asked to track back and mainly stay in the final third. Yes, he will press and close down but he is not a midfielder and his skillset is not attuned to playing there. He will come good with a group of players playing up to speed and a good manager who doesn't play pedestrian football.

He could fill in at rb

We need a Fabinho type signing his influence was instrumental in becoming the crushing machine our midfield became.

So will all our players that we signed last summer... These are all very good players who would be excellent in the correct setup.

Heavy metal suits the league... Teams are so quick to get behind the ball and sit deep that a patient approach is pointless. You just need to cause chaos and quickly as possible without allowing the opposition to breathe. This plants the seeds of doubt and leads to the opposition either making a mistake or we create a good chance. As far as I know only Flick & Enrique play similar direct football but I don't know of any other managers that do...?

I can't see why there is a delay getting Xabi in... Get him now, give him the rest of the season to implement his style
