Leo No.8 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 You heard it here first - from the poster whose gut brought you 'Kewell to have a rennaissance' before the start of this season. Just got a strong gut feeling about this one. Hope I'm right - I've been critical of the lad myself, but there's no doubting his talent and attitude. A big goal in a big game like that could give him the boost he needs.
Kindred Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I hope your right for his sake as much as ours. Ive got a lot of time for him, as at times he really looks a class player but his confidence & belief seems to be shot to peices at the moment. Probably needs to stop 'trying' to score and to let go and let it happen. Some of his efforts on goal have been no more than toepokes at times but hes a brilliant header of a ball with good touch & control. Maybe we haven't got the players(wingers) yet to get the best out of him. As you say it would do him the world of good to score in a big game. Bring it on Fernando!

Guest Red Mist Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 (edited) I don't care if Attila the Hun is our hero tomorrow night. Literally anyone will do. Edited March 7, 2006 by Red Mist
Stevie H Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I don't care if Attila the Hun is our hero tomorrow night. Literally anyone will do. it's doubtful that attila the hun will be in the starting line-up, though. apparently he's cup-tied.
Case Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I've had a feeling for a couple of weeks now that Nando will score THE most important goal in our season. And it could be on Wednesday. There is SO much riding on this game.
Huyton_Red Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I actually think its all set up for Robbie to score Its gonna be one of them magical nights, I can feel it in my bones I hope we score first half and then continue to attack. I am dreading us scoring, sitting off them and getting done by a set peice late on I think if we get one early we can go and do them 3-0, send a message out that the champions are gonna kick everyones ar'ses if they try and take our trophy
Ed the Wool Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I feel sick. have done since yesterday. Did all last season as well before CL games...

Given that he's unlikely to be as closely marked as in the prem, he might actually get a shot off. so I see where you're coming from.
Bootle Buck Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I've predicted this about 5 times this year, along with the proverbial"Someone is going to get a tonking from us". Needless to say it still hasn't happened. Lets hope this is the one.
