What would you do if LFC suddenly ceased to exist

There would be a massive hole in your life in terms of a key component of your character - what makes you as an individual - would be gone, your social calendar, reference points, escape/release mechanism.

Would you support another club? Would you give up on football? Would you cry?

I'd move.

It's hard to know what I'd do because a lot of being a passionate football fan is not a choice, if it was we'd all have f*cked off under G&H&P and subsequently RFH.

But I guess I would just give up on football. For me it is not about football, it is about LFC. When I was younger, it used to be about football, but then there was just so much football on offer, and I got married and had kids so I had to draw the line somewhere, so I drew it at LFC. Rarely watch full matches not involving LFC. Usually just cup finals / semi's etc but only if I am in with nothing else to do, and obviously international tournaments.

I don't think I could support another team in the Premiership given I have been cheering against them for years. Trying to support a team in a different league would be hard as they are not on TV as much.

I think I would become one of those lads down the pub that when you talk to them they say, 'Ah, I just like football but I don't support anyone' :cold:

I find myself moaning a lot over football and LFC.

I'm supposed to love it unconditionally but these days with FFP and FSG's outlook on all that tied with a manager I can't relate to really plus wishing we'd more money to spend even as morally bankrupt as that is.. (I'd like the German model ideally).

I always wanted to win the league and always believed we could until H&G and now we seem miles and miles away.

I dunno, it's all got too nuts post-Rafa for me.

So at this moment in time with all that rambling above, I'd probably moan less.

Definitely wouldnt support another team i have invested about 30 years emotionally in lfc and just couldnt do it with another team. i would still watch footy on telly but wouldnt have the same love for football. would probably go and watch my local team bohemians in dublin play more matches which i should do anyway. but nothing would replace the build up and nervous energy of a big lfc game like the derby or man u fixture where its all i can think about for days before and the joy of winning or the despair of losing afterwards. the season is only over and already it feels like lfc havent played in about 3 years when its only about 3 weeks since we last played. all that gets me through the summer is the transfer thread on here and thoughts of next seaon with new players and new optimism

Going the match is one of two things keeping me in the city at the moment, so it'd probably give me the push I need to stop being a little bitch and move to Canada like i've always wanted.

Yeah, f*** off LFC you prick.

I'd probably give up football almost completely. I've already cut down to the point where Liverpool games make up 70-80% of all the football I watch. I used to love football and would watch any game on TV but I've just gradually lost interest over the past 4-5 years for a variety of reasons. My obsession with Liverpool FC is the only reason I still follow the game at all.

I'd probably lose contact with some friends but I could always buy new ones with the money I'd save on travel expenses.

Also, I would definitely need something to replace the excitement and escapism/break that LFC provides. f*** knows what though.
