carrafan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Lassana Diarra's out, which is good. Eto'o and Lacina Traore are the obvious big names who've been scoring a lot for them recently. I'd play Agger, Johnson and Skrtel at the back myself, if not a lot of the first team as we'll find it very hard to qualify if we lose this one. Sion Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Traore is really tallEto'o is bossAll their other players are s***
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 are this lot any good? Loads of cash behind them
CarraLegend Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 They are alright. Traore and Eto'o v Coates and Carra could go horribly wrong. I'd play 7 or 8 regulars, let Assaidi and Suso battle it out for sunday alongside Suarez.
Cobs Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Jones Robinson Carra Coates Enrique Shelvey Henderson Cole Pacheco Yesil Assaidi Subs Gulasci Downing Morgan Coady Flanagan
épieur Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 It's funny how are problem spots have changed since the summer without any new signings. At the start of the summer, I felt we looked a bit thin with Enrique and only Robinson for cover at leftback. But ok, given Johnson's ability to switch flanks in a pinch. But it worried me a little given both Johnson and Kelly's injury woes. Now we're looking at Enrique, Robinson and Downing all fighting to get a game behind Johnson on the left because our teenage third choice rightback Wisdom is keeping them all out of the side.
The Invisible Man Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 are this lot any good? Loads of cash behind them Top of the Russian Premier League and beat Spartak Moscow at the weekend. They've won 9 of their 12 games, losing only to CSKA in Moscow.Eto'o, Traore and Zhirkov are decent. Samba's not bad, it will be a tough test.
Red Yoda Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 ----------------------Jones Johnson Carragher Coates Robinson -------------------Henderson ----------Shelvey-------------Sahin ---Cole------------Morgan---------Assaidi Bench : Gulasci--Wisdom--Agger--Allen--Gerrard--Sterling--Suarez Wanting to have the strongest possible line up available at the weekend , but wanting to look to get the win if at all possible Attack is the best form of Defense , so lets go for it as best we can .
growler Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 It's at home. Play strongish side. Can then send downing cole Enrique et al to away leg.
Earl Hafler Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 -------------------------------Jones-------------------------------Johnson-------Skrtel---------------Coates---------Enrique----------------------------Henderson---------------------------------------------Shelvey----------------Allen------------------------Pacheco--------------Yesil----------------Assaidi-------- Try and get a lead. Plan to take Johnson and Allen off after an hour or so. Give Sterling a 15 minute run through the middle.
Wunderbar Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Rather concentrate on the league tbh. Both our victories have been against relegation fodder this season. Arsenal are struggling a bit. If we can focus our energy on the league, we can try and nick the fourth spot.
Clay Davis Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Jones Robinson Carra Coates Enrique Shelvey Henderson Cole Pacheco Yesil Assaidi Subs Gulasci Downing Morgan Coady FlanaganDoubt we'll ever see Robinson at right back.
Flasher Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It's at home. Play strongish side. Can then send downing cole Enrique et al to away leg. and lose them ....
Gomez Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I think BR will put out a stronger side than most of us would want.He kind of inferred a few rounds ago that we could cope with player the main players in the home legs because there is no travelling. I'll be peed off if we see Suarez, Allen, Sterling, Gerrard, GJ or the 2 CBs though.
Hassony Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I want us to win this game , we can't afford to drop any points here if we want to win the competition
