no, Chris Boardman has 6 yellow journeys from 3 tours. David Miller and Tom Simpson also led the race.

I've always thought Evans was essentially defensive as well, so will struggle to get big time back. Limit his losses in the mountains, make hay in the TT. Bit like Wiggins in fairness, only not as good. Poor men's Indurains, but no shame in that.

That Cadel Evans is a weird one, trying to make out that when Nibali attacked on the downhill he thought there had been a crash and so held back to be sporting.

 

Commentators made no mention of a crash.

 

He just hasn't looked like he's had the legs so far, and much as he was trying to make out that tomorow will suit him 'cos it favours aggressive riders, I've never considered him to be especially attacking. Dogged, consistent, but not dynamic.
