You expect if to be the fella in blue doing the leg breaking then you see the Liege player come in, horrible cowardly tackle that.

Meh... not any worse than a few red card offences I've seen. It's a classic case of stamping is it not? Only this time victim comes in fast and hard himself.

It's a filty cowardly tackle that. He knew exactly what he was at. Straightened his leg, so he'd do him whilst making sure he'd be ok.

to really play devils advocate...

 

its looks like the offender....is in 2 minds when running towards the ball, to me....it seems like hes thnking about placing his foot on the top of the ball to do a drag back.....by the time he gets there, the victim has slid in and won the ball....with all the momentum from the offender down on the guys ankle... :hmm::hmm:

 

Basically i think its just awful play rather than malicious intent.....ie roy keane against that city player which was blatently intentional.

Agree with that. Looks terrible but it's almost like he's not sure what to do rather than jumping in trying to injury him.
