  1. Apologies for not replying sooner. Been dealing with some health related s***e. Anyway, yes it is. I'll pass on your regards. She still speaks with enormous fondness of so many of you.
  2. My wife told me earlier in the week that Vic had passed. Like a lot of others, I'd my run-ins with him and I don't have hugely fond memories of those arguments, but I never ever doubted his commitment, compassion and the sense of community that his beliefs sprung from. Sarah has told me, at length, about the 'offline Vic', a kind, caring and loving man who I genuinely wish I'd got to know. Therefore, would anyone in Dublin be interested in meeting up to watch the game on Sunday to celebrate his life, share stories, and somehow give voice to his love for Liverpool Football Club?

  15. Baresi described his performance against Italy in 94 as the greatest one he'd ever seen from a centre back . He'll always be Ireland's greatest player for me. Kenny Dalglish tried to sign him for Liverpool in '89. Ferguson sold him for less than Kenny offered. I sometimes wonder what would have happened to the 90s Liverpool if he'd ended up at Anfield. His son was also a youth player with the club.
