What's the current clean sheet records for Reina and Van Der Sar at the moment? I imagine that Pepe is trailing a bit after all of United's clean sheets earlier in the season but he must have clawed it back a fair bit in recent weeks.

United and Chelsea are both on 19, don't know if Cech and VDS have played in all of them though. But i'd guess they probably have.

Reina is on 16

Nope, 16. Pepe has played in all 32 league games, as have Carra and Dirk.

It is defo 17 and he's 1 behind that dutch t***, Utd have 19 but he missed 1 as for some bizarre reason he gets rested now and again, these pesky foreign c**** coming here and rotating all the time.

I can only think they want to give Foster games as they see him as the long term replacement for Van der Sar but rotating your keeper, especially at this time of the season, is just bizarre.

VDS has been s**** all season. Even when they were getting clean sheets it was down to him not being tested rather than pulling off great saves.

That's what pisses me off - they don't deserve the title

I would not say VDS is s***. A very decent goalkeeper.

Actually it makes perfect sense when Fergie does it. Its only bizarre when Rafa does it.

Neville Southall, interviewed on FiveLive, just said that Pepe is probably the most underrated keeper in the world. Nice to hear him getting that kind of recognition.

Not one single doubt in my mind that Pepe is now the world's best.

During his recent interview with Rafa, Ballague even mentioned how Rafa's early suggestion that he was the world's best is now pretty well recognised.

He's the most complete keeper on the planet.

Unfortunately Pepe is recognised by Liverpool fans as the world's best. I have no doubt in my mind that he is.

However, there is still no recognition by the media and football experts that he is. A bit like Mascharno and Alonso who in my mind, in their respective positions are if not the best, then certainly in the top 3 in the world.

I don't care if Andy Gray, Sky, or the beeb acknowledge this fact or not. I just hope that those players win the PL this season and that would be the best way to silence the anti-Liverpool media propaganda.

I think he has to become Spain's number one goalkeeper to be considered world's best first by fans and pundits.

Not that it makes any difference to how brilliant he is for us.

I do think there's been a shift in the way the media talk about Pepe to be honest. It's more of a grudging acknowlegment, though.

It extends to "a keeper like Reina isn't going to be beaten there" or if he makes a mistake a surprised "that's so unlike Reina, he makes very little mistakes it has to be said".

In Andy Gray land, that's ebullient praise for an understanded forgeign LFC player!

Driving home yesterday, I had Talksport on listening to the Villa match.

Collymore and the twunt with him gave the opinion that Friedel is undoubtedly the best keeper in the Prem.

Keep up the good work Stan.
