Fair dues.

Thought he influenced the game hugely.

Inventive, energetic, attacking etc when he game on.

Was asked to play completely out of position on the left, but was like a man possessed when he came on.

The likes of Babel should learn from his attitude.

i was just thinking about how we used to beat lesser teams with luis garcia cutting in and had a decent record but struggled away.. maybe likes of benayoun rather than kuyt are more effective against team who have 10 men behind the ball.. he did play well.. hes more talented but i dont think he believes that himself

Put intelligent players that make good runs off the ball around him and he will look a proper player.

Always been a fan, but he's not great out wide. Needs to be in the thick of play, around the box for us to get the most out of him I reckon.

He is what he is, a good player who can occasionally deliver great moments. He offers us something we don't have with other players in his position, someone who can retain possession high up the pitch and play clever through balls. He gets way too much stick.

Agreed. He did well today, but he has done well plenty of times for us.

good squad player

changed the game.

riera was friggin awful.

He was.

Benni was great. Good to see he can do a job on either flank.

Although he does seem to float about no matter where he plays.

well done to yossi today. inmho he is pushing a place on the right wing vs lesser teams, instead of kuyt who s graft and workrate is more siuted to games such as today. when we need to attack and score that goal. yossi is a better option on the right than kuyt

Was encouraged by how often he decided to play direct and take shots on goal (feck off bigal)

he he he

good work lad

i still prefer him to dwell on the ball, try and walk it in

He was very good when he came on. Should definitely keep hold of him. I think the main weakness is he tends to take one touch too many, but don't want to criticize him in this thread.

Anyone else notice Reina have a quiet word with him in the penalty area late on? I think between the goals.

A few seconds later he's up in the far corner dancing around their defenders. A minute or two later he's up there again and it leads to the 2nd goal.

Was going to post something earlier about how i think he might be a better option than Kuyt for those home games when teams park the bus (like Chelsea :) )

it also allows up to play Kuyt up there with Torres and as we saw today when Benayoun came on having that extra body in the opposition penalty area made all the difference.

He is very hit and miss but he'll usually create something or gets into a good position to score.

Yup. Always thought he would thrive even more if he was at Arsenal.

I've always liked Benny, even at Wet Spam. He may have games where's he's useless and others where he goes missing, (not all his fault mind you), but he has the talent to play the right ball at the right time and also has a good eye for a goal or three. He's a great professional and plays consistently well when bought off the bench and also after long periods without a first team game. This makes him a very, very useful player to have in any squad imo.

Was this when he took the ball from the short corner and was protecting the ball? Bosingwa came in and stamped on his lower back and somehow the officials determined that Yossi was at fault and gave the free against him - it was bewildering!

Great contribution from Yossi in the last few games - he does give us something different when he's on form.
