on it! He's everywhere at the moment. Much more unselfish than I thought he would be. Must have had that beat into him doing all the leg work for Shearer at the toon. His crossing and work down both wings is immence right now. Also his pace and ability to find a striker in the box with a peach of a ball time after time has really turned me into a big fan.

Well done Bellamy, and keep up all the hard work. :)

watching form the stands yesterday you could see his movement

his work rate was fantastic.....unselfish

well done Craig

He's got a good finish on him too when he's in form. Could really turn into a key player for us. I reckon if Kuyt hung around the peno area more Ala Crouch yesterday then he'd score a s*** load being fed by Bellamy. Rafa should sit Kuyt down to watch some Sherear vids and try and tone down his wanderings a little.

I'd have him down as our best striker.

First name on the teamsheet for aways right now

Seen that Aston Villa are on about offering £12m for him. No chance

Villa in for Bellamy, Newcastle in for Crouch. Why has no one come in for Kuyt?

Id watched him in the flesh numerous times for Wales so knew what we were getting. Hes similar to Kuyt in that his workrate is such that even when things aren't working for him hes still useful for the team because he never stops trying.

On form hes almost unplayable, as we're now seeing he has the ability to drift into wide positions and get assists and when the game is stretched there arent many better with balls over the top.

His other great asset is that hes never satisfied and is always looking to improve, even yesterday you could see that.

I knew we were getting a bargain for 6 million and glad hes started to show the form to back that up.

The one thing he has over Kuyt when he drifts, is that he's quick enough to get into dangerous positions once we're on the attack. He's got pace to burn.

All 3 of our main strikers work hard even when it's not going good for themselves personally on the pitch. If the other players took more note we might've won a few more games beginning of the season.

It's noticeable that he is also playing with a smile on his face. Seems to be making a conscious effort to cast off the problem player image and to show his enjoyment more. He doesn't get involved in spats off the ball and although he still has a rant when given offside or for fouls, he is more likely now to put his arm round the ref and show some remorse for an outburst.

In short, I think he has matured and is desperate for success with us.

Agree with all that. Which is why I can't understand the comments that have been made about Bellamy being the best deal of the summer but hasn't quite lived up to his reputation. What more can he do!? Even Rick Parry made such a comment this morning on Radio Five Live!! Jeez, some people are never satisfied.

He's clearly the main man for one, also he wont have an agent chipping away about rotation

Scorers this season:

(League-Cups-Euro-Other-Tot)

Crouch 5-1-5-1-12

Kuyt 7-1-0-0-8

Bellamy 6-0-1-0-7

Gerrard 4-0-1-2-0-7

Then Luis on 6 & Fowler 5

Given that we're 4th top scorers, we seem to be spreading the goals around

Craig has been feckin superb (same goes for Dirk).

I was really impressed with him on Tuesday as well. Never stopped working his ass off even though we were getting well and trully beaten.

He never stops working/running and is a constant nuisance for defenders.

We miss his pace when he's not in the side.

I thought that was Craig's 7th league goal yesterday?

I didn't hear Parry criticise Bellamy. The prick from the Express did.

It's because when he was bought, it was just after a career high goalscoring run which made his fee look a bargain. The fact he didn't then carry on that form, but rather went back to his normal return makes him perhaps look like an underachiever. Given what Bellamy said in an interview about goal targets, I don't think Rafa was expecting him to carry on that form, but bought him for the player he actually is.

i said before he even hit form that he was our best striker. he was class at newcastle, class at blackburn and showed glimpses here, it was only a matter of time.

got him for 6 million and to be honest at the moment i wouldn't sell him for thrice that.

Which is Rafa's mantra. It's harder to stop a team that has 4 or 5 players capable of bagging 10-15 each, than it is to stop a side who has one player capable of getting 20+

And he's right.

he's a good example of a really talented player finally getting the chance to blossom at a big club. think he'll go from strength to strength now and could be key away in the camp nou.

What about a team that has one player capable of scoring 20+ AND 3 or 4 players who can score 10-15!! ;)

I think we've got 3 who can get close to the 20 plus all comps strikers. Bellamy and Kuyt have only just got here, can't wait to see them next season when they'll be better.
