I was at that game. The atmosphere was bizarre with just the kids in the stand singing - like one of those schoolboy internationals. Not a peep out of anyone else, the Shed or ours. To be fair, I think it was pissing down that day and the away end had no roof (not sure that all the Shed end was covered either). And it was a very dull game too. Never heard anything like it at a league game before or since though. All the kids singing for both sides sounded like Cockneys too.

As a former Liverpool manager, I don't think Kenny would put himself in a position where he could be stepping on the toes of the current manager. I'm sure he has the utmost respect for Rafa and would only take something on like Director of Football if it came with Rafa's blessing. I'd like to see him on the board as a footballing link between Rafa and the board, and to have someone on there who really knows and loves the club.

I was right behind the keeper and I'm pretty sure he got his fingertips to it but it didn't deflect the ball at all. The best bit about the penalty was that (was it Craig Johnston?) was pulled down a yard or two outside the box. I had a mate in the Kemlyn who was right level with it. We then had another genuine shout turned down I seem to remember. Don't recall trouble in the Kop that evening though.

I was just going to add him. Some of those mentioned already, you tend to associate with other clubs but actually had a fairly good spell when they were with us. Spackman played pretty well for us, and Venison and Kevin McDonkey did a decent job. Didn't Wark get 25-30 goals one season? - and he was pretty crap as well. I remember Hodgson having a more than decent game at Arsenal. And Walsh was top class. Speedie should never have been allowed to put our shirt on but he knocked in some important goals. And Fatty Robbo, utter crap but a fine hat-trick at West Ham (?) and a man with a sense of humour. I think he's the only one who remembers him(self) as a Liverpool player.

Souness and Gerrard pretty much on a par for me. Gerrard certainly the better all-round footballer but even on a bad day you knew Souness was there, leaving his mark (on someone). Both a shade behind the King though. His instinct, vision and brain just beyond compare.

Come to Thailand, mate. You can find pretty much anything you want in red with a Liverpool logo on it. Even saw SoS polo shirts in one market near me.
