That's the thing about the media. They're very selective about what they choose to see / notice. "Best fans in the world" blah blah blah. It doesn't work when you're self-annointed. Find out what others think about us, not just fans of other teams but people who don't really care about football. We've got a decent reputation in some quarters but nothing like the self-congratulatory crap you read on a lot of the Liverpool forums on the interweb. I get where Anny Road is coming from because I'm not a scouser either but commitment to the team in Red gave me a commitment to the whole city. I'd go along with the view that if you're not from the area you might find the Liverpool-Manc thing difficult to understand. Never mind the footy, I remember going to see Pink Floyd at Maine Road with some lads from the match and it all going off there (with Citeh). They knew we were into Floyd, so they were waiting. We knew they would be. What you heard at the match yesterday was a bit like the Kop used to be (only a bit toned down). That kind of atmosphere was what gave a lot of people a buzz and kept the whole place bouncing. I can't help feeling the gloves have come off now, and like Kev says, it can only get worse from here. On the other hand, the trouble that a lot were expecting doesn't seem to have materialised so maybe normal service will be resumed.
