  1. Oh, for the good old days when the only Yankee reference was: "The Yankee is Red!"
  2. Why?
  3. Doesn't work with Rafa's rotation policy.
  4. Same here. I'll go for the Arsenal game. Following the '77 game we just went from strength to strength.

    The meeting

    You've just noticed
  6. Yeah, I think it's Parry who does that.
  7. Might as well do nothing then, except just take it up the s***ter.
  8. I think that's true. It would be in the owners' interests to get him out as quickly as possible, before the fans can mobilize.
  9. I'm pretty certain the Manc t***s will, and I reckon we will too.
  10. There were reports the other day that Rafa had got Masch plus 2 Bosmans sewn up. That was why he was pissed off. He seems much more relaxed today. I reckon he backed down, or rather cooled things down, while making his point today.
  11. It may be done with. But G&H, or H anyway, hasn't got a clue, has he? Rafa is a total leg end. He's just done what everyone would love to do to their boss. Seen around the world by millions. And like the post before where it said basically Rafa's like us - he's in it for the football. He's like us, almost. I hope they've all had some education out of this. But Rafa Rules.
  12. b****x. We sign players who want to play for Liverpool. End of. And I believe that's how Rafa views it as well. (And however dodgy it looks for this season, anyone who doesn't sign because they're worried we won't be there next season, really can feck off). Agreed.
  13. The really funny thing about that is that you know Rafa would do it for that very f***ing reason.
  14. As long as said Geordie is not wearing a shirt, revealing his 'Howay the Toon' chest tattoo, his 'Newcastle 'til I die' back tattoo, and a beer gut hanging lower than his a***, has his hair dyed black-and-white, and a scarf round his neck and both wrists. Perhaps not.
  15. That's right. You could have drowned in piss if you actually made it into the bogs. I have vague recollections of paying a visit in the mid-late 80s and there'd been a big improvement by that time. Swansea had the worst toilets ever.

    Trust in Rafa?

Strange to stick up for Houllier and slag off Roy Evans. Evans came in at a very difficult time and did a good job of pulling us out of what could have been very dark times. Once his time was up, he left us in stronger shape than when he came in. Same with Houllier. Both did a good job in their own circumstances and were ultimately found wanting in time, Let's see what happens with Rafa.

  24. Case McDermott Souness Kennedy That's a fantastic midfield - and for Case you could put in Lee or Johnston and it still rocks. If you could transplant the Souness of those days into today's team, we would walk the title this year.
  25. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2191431,00.html Beset by off-field problems for which they blame Uefa, Everton look set to end their Women's Cup second-round tournament in Belgium with the disappointment of failing to reach the quarter-finals in the club's first season of European football. That is in stark contrast to the holders Arsenal, who are through to the last eight for the sixth time in as many attempts after comfortably winning the first two of their three games in the four-team tournament they are hosting in Hertfordshire. Everton have lost their opening two games - both 2-1 to stoppage-time goals - against the host side Rapide Wezemaal and the German champions, FFC Frankfurt. In order to progress they must tomorrow beat the Icelandic team Valur Reykjavik by at least four goals while hoping that Frankfurt beat Wezemaal. That mighty task is the latest in a series of obstacles which the manager, Mo Marley, says have been placed in the way of her team. "We had to play in fog and under floodlights that weren't the best in our first game," said the former England captain. "I'm not making that an excuse for losing, but I'm disgusted with Uefa for what followed. The other two teams in the group, who had played their first game earlier in the day, refused to play their second matches under the floodlights so at short notice Uefa brought the times forward and that affected us badly. "We had far less preparation time than Frankfurt and then we weren't provided with a pre-match meal, so we had to go into a game against one of the best teams in the world at a real disadvantage. We protested about the situation but Uefa disregarded us, yet when a big club like Frankfurt shouts 'boo' people jump. Isn't that a bit like the men's game?"
