  1. I think Bellamy will know that if the best midfiedler in the world will play there without grumble, then it's good enough for him.

  3. That was obvioulsy in bad taste, but it wasn't even funny. Just a picture of Crouch with a building in the back ground. Some of the other ones are priceless though. The swimming one is class.
  4. How will he side-step that landmine? "Why do you want to play for Liverpool?" "'coz I love them and suppoted them as a kid" "will you cause any trouble?" "nope!" "Fine, you're in"
  5. .......all so reminiscent of what we were saying about Houllier in 2002. Once bitten and all that. (and let the attack begin)
  6. Also, the earlier rounds of the cup are all done with a musical backing track with those really annoying hand-held shaky camera shots where you can?t actually see the goal properly. There aren?t even any replays of the goals, just a quick spin through the earlier rounds. What kind of an idiot thought that the fans wouldn?t want proper highlights of each game but would in fact prefer some MTV wannabe 30 second rubbish? I have watched the dvd once and it will be going on e-bay. I?ll wait for the club one which I hope has been done considerably better with proper highlights of the earlier rounds.

  9. No. But Elisha was in the documentary, a lot.
  10. "no surender to Cesar Vallejo, no surrender, no surrender.....etc"
  11. 'ah ah ah ah staying alive, staying alive........'
  12. Yes. All of them except you.
  13. I remember been in Hynses pub in Baggot street in Dublin having a few pints before heading down to the Ireland v England match that was later abandened due to rioting. A load of English came in and started chanting their "no surrender to the IRA" crap. About 6 of us lads were just sitting back with our pints amused at all this. One big fecker of a knuckle dragger came over and asked me "what I thought about that Paddy" I asked him had he noticed that he was standing in a pub in the REPUBLIC of Ireland and that his lot had surrendered years ago? His reply was to take a swipe (and miss) at me, however, the police were following the English everywhere that day and before he even knew what had happend he was in the back of a van on his way to the clink. His other mates (of who he was clearly the leader) shat it. the wrecked the pub later though and stabbed the door man so that was probably their version of getting the last word. The press are all marvelling at how great and friendly the English fans are at the moment, but it will be the same as Euro 96. The second England get knocked out they'll wreck whatever town in Germany they're in.
  14. I hate Neville and wish him many many boils on his a***, but he is a very good right back. Carra was played out of position and while his defensive play was fine (to be fair, they clearly spotted A Cole as the weak link and attacked down that side most of the time) Carra's getting forward was very poor. He would move into the attacking half and then stop, look around, and pass it backwards. Neville is very good at breaking forward and immediately putting in a good cross. It just stinks that Carra isn't in at centre back ahead of Ferdenand. I was surprised to see Sven actually make a good decision. England clearly didn't need to worry about been defensive down that wing so bringing on Lennon and putting Beckham to right back was actually a good decision. Changed the game. I tend to agree that had Neville been at right back, England would have been a lot better as an attacking force. They were never going to let in a goal down that flank though when Carra was on.

    Alves

When players are moving clubs for £35m? When an untried teenager costs £15m? When a goalkeeper can cost £35m? No I don't think they are out of their minds. Alves is very highly thought of with the current Spanish and European Champions wanting him. He is 23 so £12m doesn't strike me as an "out of their fecin minds" figure to be honest.
  16. I knew some people would be stupid enough to reply "me" to my question about anyone saying "oh bolox!" when he signed. Anyone that doesn't think that the signing of Schevchecko will affect our chances of winning the title is deluded. The only thing Chelsea were missing was a prolific goal scorern. They have now signed him. Of course, he might not fit in, but that's a big if. The signing of that big name will have a major say on where the big pots go next year.
  17. Who would win in a fight between a fax and an e-mail?

    .....give or take
  20. Kuyt should have got a touch and scored. I'm going to judge him solely on that moment and I have decided he is not good enough. Sign Milosovich.
  21. So someone applies for the job. Imagine the disappointment when you find out it's Everton. You're looking forward to peddling mercandise throughout Europe and coming up with ideas for the 5 times motto in CL games, but then you find out that you somehow have to market the saying "top half is the new first".
  22. Thanks mattser, I wasn't going to read anymore of the Did thread as it was just fans saying their goodbyes. Thanks for posting it seperately.
