Until the scan is done, nobody knows the full extent of the damage, and that includes Xabi Alonso, the club physio, the club doctor, Stevie Gerrard or Elisha Scott.
Hold on there now everyone. Xabi would not be having a scan this morning if he was fine. There must be a slight doubt otherwise they wouldn't have the scan. I am sure it is precautionary, but the scan could pick up any number of tiny tears, tweaks or pulls that would stop him from playing in the final. I'm sure Xabi is telling everyone he is fine as he will want to make the cup final team, but it will be the medical team and todays scan that will decide whether he plays or not.
I'm currently living in Scotland and he is not popular up here at all. I've been told by plenty of Scots that they don't like him because they feel he never performed for them. They also referred to the penalty miss v England, as if he missed it on purpose. Strange to not like him though just because he never played well for Scotland (if that is the only reason).
Find it amazing that the English still prattle on about the handball. It's not like it was the only one that's ever happened. There is no difference between Owens dive for the Peno against Argentina then the hand ball by Maradona. They both were cheating and they both resulted in goals.
Funny, but I think it's a sign of how far we've some that we are not been shown. They are showing the Mancs because they believe that they might feck it up while the fully expect us to beat Portsmouth, so they think the excitement might be at Old Trafford. Understandable that Arsenal are been shown what with the last game at the stadium and all that. Oh, and it been Henry's last game for Arsenalat home also.
Don't like the Gary Breen thing mainly because he's s****. What about a big green flag with "C'mon you boys in green" written on it. It'll certainly match in with our know nothing useless home support. You could then get the tricolour for the away games where you see the decent fans. That could have something funny that rhymes with Stan Staunton.
I don't want Arsenal to win as I don't like them. It's true that this stems back to Anfield in 1989 and is a long time ago, but that 2-0 defeat still hurts today, and I just can't feel affection for them or want them to win such a major trophy. On top of that, Ronaldinho is the best player I have seen since maradona and I would love to see him light up a European Cup Final and then parade the trophy.
