You find the negative comments upsetting Should we only comment if they are good comments? The thread was looking for people to contribute money. I pointed out the reasons why I would not contribute money because I didn't think the banner was good. I have even given a suggestion of what I think would look good. I thought forums were for discussing? Maybe it should have been pointed out that the thread was only for people who thought the picture was good and wanted to contribute.

I just think it doesn't convey what LFC is all about, i.e. class, history, and just the general feeling that we are better then your average football fan. It looks like the kind of banner you'd see at Lazio in that it seems to push out an aggresive stance. The artwork is to be commended though. I'd love to see something with Shanks, our 3 European Cup winning managers, a picture of the Cup and "Forever in our shadow" or someting like that.

I was watching goals on Sunday on Sky a few weeks back. It was the days after Mourinho had slated Joe Cole and said that if he gave one more performance for himself and not the team that he would sell him. Chris Kamara said that at Sky they get the first editions of the Sunday papers (i.e. on the Saturday evening) and that the majority of the papers had given Cole 8/10, but that when he saw the later editions and after Mourinhos comments, that the same papers now had Cole as 4 ? 5 out of 10. These people have no minds of their own and are just sheep to popular opinion.

Simple answer is no. He's not as good as him. He's also not as good as John Barnes was from 1987-1990. He will go down as ONE of our greats though.

Beckham is a total one-trick-pony and has lived off his looks mostly, but I'm not having that. Beckhams goal against Wimbeldon was superb. He totally meant it and he had to lob the keeper so it couldn't bobble into the net. One of the great great goals.

Gerrard had a game last weekend, a game this weekend and isn't palying again until next weekend. That's plenty of a break for a fit lad who is only 25 years old. Anyway, as long as Xabi is helping Stevie to not have to make big runs by scoring from 70 yards, then he will save energy anyway.

Gutted, angry, inconsolable, suicidal, violent, crying, freaked. That pretty much sums it up. The day I am not bothered about getting knocked out of ANY trophy is the day I will be concerned I am getting too big for my boots and taking the club for granted.
