The best example would probably be when he made continued and reliable information about the take-over of the club. Stretching back to DIC's initial interest, the collapse of that deal, the successful purchase from dumb and dumber, and the various events since then. He also made some information known throughout the Torres deal last summer if memory serves, which obviously has proven to be correct. If anyone wants proof of his reliability you only need look back as far as last night when he said Keane was en route to Melwood, the story has subsequently broke in this morning's media. Anyone daft enough to claim he's going by the Mail's "48 hour" quote a couple of days ago is really wide of the mark, he has got enough credibility on RAWK without having to further enhance a repuation by passing off stories in the Mail as his own! He did say we were interested in Villa, which has again proven to be correct as Rafa confirmed it in a press conference. Presumeably he now sees Keane as the better option, which, to be honest I probably agree with.

In fairness Barry has been far from innocent in all this. Some of the comments he's come out with have been un-professional to say the least. Villa have pretty much always said he can go for the right price, and contrary to popular opinion, I don't think that 18 million is a ridiculous amount to expect. He'ss not worth that, pound for pound, but he's their player, under contract, and they don't want to sell. Therefore they should expect more than their valuation of him if he's to leave, that's basic common sense. If I had something which I valued for 50 quid and it was irreplaceable and I had no intention of selling it, it would take a bid of much higher than 50 quid to persuade me to part with itm, that's common sense. I agree O Neill has acted like a bit of a baby in all fo this, but you can hardly blame him for being pissed off when we storm in, unsettle his star player and then f*** around for 5 weeks about whether or not we're going to pay the aksing price. I could understand if they'd done a Real Madrid and increased the asking price after we'd met their initial valuation, but they haven't, it's always been at 18 million, like it or lump it. O Neill is right in one thing that it's about time we made a decision one way or the other, because if we don't pay it then maybe there is an outside chance of persuading their star player to stay. O Neill has behaved like a 6 year old a lot of the time, I believe he amde some comment about not wanting any Liverpool players to do well in Euro 2008 etc etc. But his overall point is probably a decent one, that both us and Barry have been handled the whole thing less than brilliantly. It does take two to tango, remember that.

This just a guess?

"Next season I'll be playing for Real Madrid"

I hope the diving, spotty rapist t*** leaves as soon as possible. -
Thinking about it, it wouldn't actually be a bad result. We'd surely batter them at Anfield and it's a chance to get the loyalty going if we were to get a bigger draw in the latter rounds. Tickets would probably be reasonable as well.

Am I right in saying you can now queue up for Euro aways or did I dream that?
-
The difference being that Torres actually has the ability to do something special to change the match, rather than playing as a make shift winger and missing sitters.
-
Maybe if we had someone decent upfront to partner Torres instead of Kuyt we might have actually won today. Open f***ing header in the last minute and the c*** can't score.

Heinze set to buy out united contract....

He'll never play for the mancs again. Have any of you lot ever been to Old Trafford? They hate us more than anything, murderers daubed on the walls outside the ground, fights, Hillsborough gestures etc etc. Does anyone seriously think the Stretford End is going to welcome him back with open arms after he took them to court to force a move to Liverpool? Seriously more chance of shagging the pope. He may go abroad if a big club sees the gap and puts an offer in, offering him a way out of United without all the legal pissing around etc. But if that doesn't happen, or if he's set on a move here, then he'll be ours eventually. -
Hopefully not.

Can only be Alonso (unlikely given the news in the echo this morning) or indeed Maschereno that would really bother anybody too much. Agger maybe?
-
Care to expand on that? If it's a player going the other way then it can only be Alonso that would really upset anyone, now that Carra, Reina and Gerrard have all signed new contracts?
-
What a f***ing joke. So the mancs aren't highlighted as trouble makers despite kicking off at every knock out stage in this competition? It's obvious that they're trying to cover their backs because they've realised that they very nearly caused a major disaster last week, and thus are trying to pin the blame all on us by making us out to be a bunch of thieving, bunking hoolies, not that that is much different from the general consensus of us outside of Liverpool I suppose. Funny that before the final UEFA were saying how the two sets of fans had exemplory records and how they expected no trouble what so ever. They also praised our behaviour in Istanbul. Now that the s*** is being directed their way the c**** are pretending we're a load of scum so they can pin the blame on us. Typical, f***ing typical.

No. Bearing in mind I know the lad in question I'd say it's fair to assume that he just hasn't noticed the thread. The steward's number has also been posted on several other threads. Probably best to not make soft claims unless you know the facts, I'd say...
