Of for christ sake. At what point has anyone said they want somone sacked? Any Liverpool fan who does not care about a 5-0 loss 5 days before a vital Champions League Qualifyer needs their head examined. Would you rather the players went into this game having not conceded any goals and scored a few at the other end, or after letting in 7 in two games and hardly bothering the opposing goalkeepers? I bet I know which Rafa would prefer. I appreciate and understand people want to pretend that it doesn't matter, and if it was the first game of pre-season it wouldn't, but a masivly vital game is only a few days away and the players will have some questions in their minds. Maybe it'll make Haifa think they have a chance and they might come out and play at Anfield and give us some space as opposed to 11 behind the ball.

This is our last game before an extremely important CL qualifyer and we have just been hammered 5-0 on the back of a 3-0 loss which was on the back of a 3-2 loss. This is a worry, not so much for the seasons ahead, but for our next very important game.

God bless blind faith. I think you have a fair concern Phil. The team don't look fit and our main players wil have played only 1 per-season game prior to the game.

How can we talk about Gonzalez been excellant when he hasn't played for us yet? (bar some poor pre-season friendlies) and Pennant is hardly the finished product. Kewell is not as good as he was and is injured half the time and Zenden is getting on. Basically, how many of the top clubs would be knocking our door down for these apparantly-better-then-anyone-elses-midfielders if they came up for sale. Yes, in Xabi, Stevie and Momo, we have 3 excellant midfielders for 2 positions, but I don't think we can claim to be the envy of the midfield world with the rest of our players. We have the makings of an excelant midfield should Speedy and Pennant confirm their promise, but we have to wait and see.
