Flasher Posted March 9 Posted March 9 They've got some proper snide talent in their team. Will be really tough this. I guess we may get to counter attack though so could suit us. They're not allowed away fans in return leg which may help us also.
PaulMcC186 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 The home leg will be weird with no away fans. European fans are normally good at Anfield. We should beat them easily enough over 2 legs.
McBain Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Play Wirtz instead of Gakpo. Tight midfield three. Switch Wirtz and Ekitike at times. Play to our strengths here. As in, be solid, dour, keep the ball. Kill the occasion as any kind of enjoyable spectacle

PaulMcC186 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 If they don't think Mamardashvili is good enough to start every league next season they need to buy a keeper who is. 1 2

To be fair, he could have injured himself in training [which he's done before]. It's been inevitable with Ali for 6/7 years now, he simply cannot stay fit. He's missed 10 games at minimum every year since 19/20 bar one season.

I just don't understand it - the Brighton and Wolves cup games were ideal for Mamardashvili to play and reduce the burden on an injury prone Ali 5

ChrisC Posted March 9 Posted March 9 We can’t play any worse than we did away at these last time out so I’m quietly optimistic. </mockers>
ThewaytoRome Posted March 9 Posted March 9 What is the point of Allison now. Should've kept kelleher over the other dud. 4 hours ago, McBain said: I don't get why mama isn't being used in the cups. it was a perfect chance to give him some game time before the inevitable injury.
