Weirdest football fact?

Recommended Posts

I just found out that the American musician, Gil Scott-Heron has a somewhat notable father. His name was Gil Heron from Jamaica and he was the first black player to play for Celtic.

Any more?

Roy Hodgson once managed five times Champions of Europe Liverpool Football Club.

Still can't get me head round that one.

I came across a really odd piece of trivia today.

Gil Scott-Heron, poet and musician of some considerable note had a father who should be more well known.

His name was Gil Heron and he was the first black player to play for Celtic. He was a Jamaican-Canadian who played for them in 1951-52.

Anyone have others? We need to know.
