YugoB Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago BREAKING: Everything indicates that Florian Wirtz will leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer. A move to Bayern, who would probably struggle to pay the €150m asking price and are apparently speculating on being able to sign him for a lower price in 2026, is NOT the likeliest option. Instead, Manchester City are pushing and concrete talks with the player have taken place. The Wirtz family also met with Liverpool on Tuesday, which suggests that talks with the Reds are also well advanced, but just like with ManCity, they have not yet been finalized. The English clubs would easily be able to meet the asking price and represent a serious option for Wirtz this summer. Real Madrid could also throw their hat in the ring as Xabi Alonso's appreciation for the player is well known and the rumor that he would like to lure the 22-year-old to Madrid is persistent. surf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He'd be perfect for City (unfortunately). Also i'd put a nr. 10 below CF, LB, RB, CD and CM as a priority. And 150m is a lot. And it's a bit of a pipe dream. I can't get too wound up about this one.

Bailo Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Lol Madrid are buying everyone this summer. Literally no other club will be able to buy anyone.

Wirtz would make total sense though. They need a lad who can play from the left or just behind the striker. Been lacking that sort of player these last few years. 2

Zoob Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago In the old days we used to buy players just to make sure our rivals couldn't. Or maybe we didn't, and I just made that up. But that's what we should do with Wirtz. And he's really f***king good. I don't expect it to happen, but if we were gonna spend 110 on Caidedo, just maybe we'd spend that and more on Wirtz. He knows what we're capable of and what Anfield is like from when we kicked their asses 4-0, and that sort of thing can leave an impression. The big skinny lanky kid from Bournemouth, I'm not bothered about. He's good on the ball, but defensively I think Quansah is a better prospect, and I'm not even sure Quansah will make it at a top team.
Cobs Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We’re not going to spend £150mm on a player and if we ever were I’d hope he’s better than Wirtz 1

But I agree with you. If we are going for that type of player should go for Rodgers at villa would cost much less than that and he is impressive

mofus77 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I just want, for once, for us to sign an absolute worldy. One that everyone else is gutted we're getting. Edited 2 hours ago by mofus77

mofus77 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm 2m 41s into an 8 minute Wirtz youtube video and I've never wanted us to sign a player more.
growler Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Don’t know anything him so not even sure if he’s wirtz the trouble. but if he is a good as many think, be crazy not to be in for him.

Wirtz is far more creative on the ball than Rodgers. To me Rodgers is more similar to Dom than Wirtz
