I didnt have time to put in time this week on Swansea so I dont have as many stats as the last few games

Goals goals goals - the stats suggest you wont see many of them when Swansea are away !

Attack

Swansea have something in common with QPR, Villa and Stoke - they have failed to score in 10 of their 26 games this season which is the worst record in the league. When they play away from home against the (current) Top 10 sides, they have failed to score in 4 of 5 games with goals being hard to come by in general i.e. For 2 / Against 4 in 5 games.

On the road in recent games they haven't been prolific at all;

West Ham 1-0 Swansea

Sunderland 0-0 Swansea

Arsenal 1-0 Swansea (FAC)

Everton 0-0 Swansea

Their recent away record is P6 W1 D3 L2. They scored 2 in those 6 games and conceded 3 so goals have been few and far between recently.

However, just to give some balance, at home their games has seen 45 goals in 13 games which is the 4th highest i.e. goals scored & goals against. In those 13 games, they scored 26 goals which is the 5th highest (we have 22 in 13 home games)/

Defense

They've the 4th best defensive record in the league, conceding 29 goals in 26 games. However, away from home they have the best defensive record with only 10 conceded in 13 games - here is the goal distribution;

5 games = none conceded

6 games = 1 conceded

2 games = 2 conceded.

They haven't conceded 3 goals away from home this season.

Overall

In 13 away games this season in the league, Swansea's games have had the lowest amount of goals in the games with only 22 goals in those 13 games.

Set pieces

30 of their 38 goals this season have come from open play with only 1 from a corner, 6 from crosses and the other was a free-kick. Only 5 goals have been headers !! However, of the 29 goals conceded, 11 have been from headers so perhaps we can turn the tables on them and exploit an aerial weakness. We dont need a Carroll, just a good cross and some well timed arrivals.

And finally

We have all heard of our bad record against the Top 10 teams. Against the current crop in the Top 10, we have the 2nd worst record in the league at home to such teams. Its time to fucking batter these ! However, they will need to conceded alot more goals than normal away from home in order for this to happen........................
