He's an angry boy at the moment.

How many is it again for a suspension? 4?

Someone needs to have a word. He's clearly frustrated at the pathetic service he's getting, and he's never gotten the level of protection people like Drobga do, but so many of his bookings are for such stupid reasons.

In saying that, the booking he got today was a joke.

about 10 after christmas

i think they said he has 5 in his last 7 games

he needs to calm the feck down

The booking today was bizarre. So was his kick at the penalty spot though. Which he didn't get booked for. What is exactly was Webb doing? Seemed a bit random.

I feel sorry for Torres.. He came here clearly to win things and that was the only reason to leave Atletico and now it looks bleak.. If he left to win things it would be understandable.. We are so f***ed.. him getting booked shows that atleast someone cares

gets the f*** kicked out of him, gets little or no backup from his team-mates, gets no protection from referees and is left isolated most games to plough a lone furrow, he must be frustrated as f***. he must also be really looking forward to the world cup when he'll get service from xavi, iniesta, alonso, silva, villa et al.

I like the fact that he doesn't take it lying down.

That said, if he was Rooney, it'd be about zero or one

This is it.

He's not diving or kicking anyone up in the air, he's the one getting booted about.

I don't. It clearly affects his game. A calm focused Torres would have buried that chance near the end.

The worst ive ever seen him for petulance was at Goodison Park, he ended up scoring 2 goals.

And had a 3rd wrongly ruled out.

I think he realised in that game at GP that it was getting to him and he calmed down and we benefited. I don't mind him with fire in his belly, we know he's a winner, but he can't let it affect his mood and in turn his game.

he hasn't scored goals anywhere else as prolifically as he scores them with us, including spain, for whom he also looks moody much of the time.

understandable if he's feeling deeply pissed off with this season. but, as i think the manager has pointed out on more than one occasion, he's a better player when he's focused purely on scoring goals.

fair point. can't remember that incident exactly, but i think the main problem is when he starts on officials, that's when he seems to lose his head a bit. don't mind the fronting up to other players.

It's a fair point about the lack of service. He's a top class striker who is increasingly left to fight for scraps with yard dog defenders. But he's still better to us on the pitch and not in the stands due to suspension.

yeah fair comment, he's not the same threat for spain where his job is half about making space for villa. i'm not criticising him at all, just wishing he stayed fitter more regularly and got a bit better service i guess.

by the same token. i'm not really defending him. i think sometimes it seems like he goes beyond the point at which that frustration is being channeled to help his game. we've a bit of a sulky dressing room really.

the frustration levels must be massive. came close to the league last season, didn't strengthen and invest in the summer, injuries, a f***ing beach ball, crap refereeing, manager making odd decisions all over the place, pisspoor form. . . .i'm not saying it's at all excusable but there must be a number of them been looking to the world cup for a couple of months now.
