I dont see the point in playing Lucas when he does f*** alll, he cant run at players because he is so slow, and he can only pass the ball backwards or to mascherano. Benayoun does a lot more than lucas does. Playing 4 2 3 1 means that we have to sacrifice benayoun to kuyt, who is actually a centre forward.

 

So i feel we would be a much better team if we played 4 4 2, having Reina-Johnson-Carragher-Skrtel-Aurelio-Benayoun-Gerrard-Mascherano-Kuyt-Torres.

 

Against Chelsea and Fiorentina, it was horrificly boring to watch, the long ball up to torres everytime, i mean torres is class, but he cant do it all himself, even when he did win it there was no optiions. We would be a quality side if we played 4 4 2.

Indeed, the man who dropped a defensive midfielder for a champions league final is scared to take a risk. Despite the goalless last two games our attack is the least of our worries at the moment.

We've not got the personnel for a proper balanced 4-4-2 so you're weeing in the wind.
