The fella who finds buyers for clubs claims liverpool are in the more dangerous position during the credit crunch, claims that to pay off our debts we'll have to sell.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the Keith Harris interview was based on him trying to find clients in the merseyside area.

So just more speculation then

Playing well? Check.

Doing well in the league? Check.

Doing well in Europe? Check.

Things running smoothly (at the minute) between Rafa and the owners? Check.

Yep, sounds about time there was another "Liverpool in crisis" article.

Why isn't there a Man United credit crunch article? Their debt is much larger than ours, and their repayments are much larger than ours.....

It'd be JUST like us to be 4 points clear with one game left this season and then for those feckwits to have us put into administration, deducting 20 points and finishing 4th again (just ahead of Everton, natch).

Torres being sold is ALWAYS a possibility while these are in charge. Him being MADE to go against his will would NEVER happen.

good grief...iq of a garden spade.

Yer giving me too much credit there Mike. ;)

I know these player sale rumours will crop up cos G&H seem to be screwed with this recession jobbie, but I just wanted to know if anyone else heard anything more substantial.

And saying that Torres doesn't want to go anywhere wouldn't stop the club putting him up for sale.

oh yes, but HBos collapsed on mere speculation.

Thank goodness Liverpool Football club is not a bank

Else the lack of confidence in our banking facilities would cripple us

Will the banks restructure our finances if they have no faith in our buisness?

They would have even less faith in our business if we sold off our top players

Will I make the 6:43 train from Liverpool street to Tottenham Hale tonight?

From my point of view there are a few things at play here. G&H recruit a go between they parade as helping them to get the loan re-financed but everyone else sees as being facilitators of a new group taking over. G&H are holding out on price and the 3rd party (let's say it's DIC) get Keith Harris to tell the world that Liverpool as a financial concern are not 'all that'.

This demonstrates to the world at large that it's a buyer's market, HBOs have G&H by the balls and DIC are offering a reasonable price and G&H are being un-realistic with their demands.

I see this article as a major positive and it makes me more confident that G&H's exit is iminent.Time will tell, though

Harris is just trying to make our position look worse and worse so he can make the purchase of Newcastle look more desirable.

Is mostly the right answer.
