Berbatov and Van Der Sar

Are the 2 reasons i am confident Man U have f***ed it this season.

 

Berbatov has totally upset the balance i think and i to me there are some players that resent his lack of work rate.

 

Van der Sar has been an accident waiting to happen for 2 seasons now and is going to continue to cost them more points.

I mentioned to him that I reckon they are planning for life without Tevez seeing as they spent so much on Berbatov and Tevez can't get a look in..... his reasoning was that they are doing this to bring Tevez's price down...

think i've seen rafael twice and i've been really impressed both times. great on the ball, decent positioning, but considering he's only 18 (?) he should improve quite a bit

I'd like to agree with that but when I've seen him, almost everything he is trying seems to come off. He doesn't get involved as much as he could, perhaps, but when does he always uses the ball well. Can't see his team-mates having many complaints so far.

I just find it weird that people were slaughtering Keane on here and creaming themselves over Berbatov when he's scored just one league goal for the mancs since he arrived and he's pretty much played the full 90 minutes of every game since he joined them.

 

Granted Berbatov has had a few assists but still would we be happy with one league goal from nine games?

I dunno, apart from the game against us (when they all went missing) I haven't seen him have a bad game yet. Not watched them that much though.

When Ronaldo leaves in the summer Rooney and Tevez will support Berbatov up front i think. He's a lazy git but he's been very good for them so far in the games I've seen. Plus he's always had that lazy swagger so I'm sure they knew wht to expect.

 

Thing is if ManU win their game in hand they are only 5 points off us which isn't too bad for them considering they've been dragging their heels so far this season. Manc in work reckons they'll click soon enough and go on a great run and who'd doubt that. Plus he reckons Bertatov will be brilliant for them with tricky players like Rooney and Tevez playing just off him. Can't disagree with that at all.

I think Berbatov is a decent player, and can be phenomenal some days, but still think 30 million was too much for a player who will be completely anonymous some days, and won't bother making up for it with increased work-rate. Also not surprising that Van Der Sar is looking more dodgy now that he's nearly 40. When keepers get to that age, everything just starts to deteriorate, which isn't really suprising.

 

What you do have to give the Mancs credit for is that they are so often stronger than the sum of their parts - they'll win games with Brown, O shea, Fletcher & Park in their team, whien you wouldn't expect any of those players to get into any of the other top 4 teams' starting 11.

 

Think the world club championship is really gonna hurt them though - not just the travelling, but the fixture pile up that will result from them being away.
