Which EFC player(s) would make LFC side?

Yeah I know it's unlikely, but often a comment made is what players from opposition teams would make it into the other side.

Was thinking about it today as the 2nd half wore on so to speak...

Arteta stood out for me, and Yobo was solid...that was it for me.

Lescott.

Yakubu would get on the bench, as would Yobo and Arteta.

Thats it.

Arteta probably. Yobo...ahead of who? Not for me.

Lescott, although a centre half, has played LB a lot for them and to be fair, he's had a terrific season. Very solid and 8 goals to boot. I'd take him any day of the week, compared to JAR and Aurelio.

Cahill would be a decent reserve for when Gerrard needs a rest, likewise Yakubu for when Torres is left out of a Carling Cup side.

I love the way the blues have been going on about how good jagielka is and maybe he had an off day yesterday but he was fecking rubbish.

He made a couple of major errors last weekend as well, misjudging the bounce of the ball and suchlike. He's a utility player and nothing more.

In a combined team I'd have Lescott at left back, Arteta on the right side of midfield with Yakubu and maybe Cahill on the bench and the rest being ours (Reina, Finnan, Agger, Carragher, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Babel, Torres).

Arteta at the moment but hopefully we're looking at better than him in the Summer, Lescott for defo at LB and Yobo did as well as anyone has done all season against Torres yesterday, this season he's been better than Carragher.

Just an aside here - if Rafa decided he wanted Lescott - would we get him? For how much?

Very much doubt they'd sell him, certainly not to us and certainly not for a humane fee.

Hurts me to say it but Rio Ferdinand has utterly nullified Torres on both occassions he's played him this season.

This is true. In fact yesterday, Hyypia and Skrtel did the same thing to Yakubu and Ferdinand and Vidic did to Torres.

Arteta would make a Benayoun level squad player maybe. Lescott has a few too many mistakes in him but he would be the next most likely. Yobo - no, not ahead of our four Sami, Agger, Skrtel and Carra.

Arteta would be a good player to have and possibly Lescott. Other than that they are a bunch of average players punching above their weight at the moment.

To be fair, Torres didn't get much of the ball in either game but he almost scored with a header at Anfield and also looked threatening (albeit in wide positions) a couple of times at Old Trafford.

He didn't score so you can say he was nullified but I'm not sure he completely marked him out of the game.

Lescott is the only who'd get in the first XI

Arteta and Cahill in the squad as back up.

Yakubu and Johnson in the squad as back up.

Howard, Wessels, Ruddy, Turner and Jagielka would all get on the bench ahead of Itanje.

Haven't really seen enough of them this year but Yobo stood out yesterday. He's one of a few who'd make the bench but only Lescott & maybe Arteta for the 1st team. Don't think Arteta really has the pace out wide though.

I've got a mate who really rates Pienaar whose come good since Xmas. Apparently Wenger has been sniffing around him?
