He's not a left back, though, he's a centreback and he's not as good as Carragher or Agger. He's not a bad player, like (better than f***ing Riise, but then again, so am I) but he was f***ing s**** for England on the left.

 

If we were buying him as cover for Carragher, Agger and a quality left back then, yeh sign up the ugly f*****. Other wise, leave him to rot.

I think he is very average defensively which he makes up for by providing a good attacking threat. The way Rafa seems to like his full-backs to play I think this attacking threat would be shackled and just leave us with an average defender.
