Garcia's goal WAS over the line.

Was there not video evidence to prove it was over.

Andy Gray proved it wasn't over the line, by conclusively showing where the ball probably was

it wasnt over the line, what was over the line was the players white boot (was it Gallas) when he was clearing it. i'm convinced it was the white boots that the linesman took as the ball.

Nah, you can see Gallas's standing foot on the line, the other leg is extended into the goal to clear it. Even allowing for him leaning back it's obviously over.

Further proof ponces frmo the opposition team should always wear white boots.

That's hilarious Kev, I just watched the first 20 minutes of that game again last night as I was eating some Indian food before bed. And for the first time I too genuinely thought it was over the line.

And by the way, for those who haven't seen it 381 times, it's just as satisfying each time.

That's just wishful thinking on your part.

What convinces me it was over are the following two things.

1. The momentum of the ball (clearly moving towards the goal, not sideways)

2. Watch where the ball bounces after Garcia's touch. (Practically on the goal line before continuing some distance forward).

GOAL. End of.

They proved it based on the stance of the player who was trying to clear it off the line - Gallas, was it?
