Who here has never experienced Liveropol winning the league, and what do you think you'd do if we did?

Like many on here I'm lucky to have experienced it many times. Having said that, to win it again anytime in the near future after such a huge wait would be amazing.

But how would you 'virgins' feel, do you think? (No, that's not prison slang).

I was ten and whilst I can remember it, haven't had it happen when I've been old enough to really enjoy it.

I'm not sure what I'd do really. I'm so desperate to know what its like though. Not sure the joy could top Istanbul for pure exhiliration but I'd imagine its superior in the sense of pride you can take from knowing your team has been the best over 38 games and that you are champions of your country.

Hopefully in May.

Well I am 20 so was a bit too young to be bothered when we last won it. The feeling would be immense, knowing that we are once again the best team in the league after such a long wait.

Names such as Dalglish, Hansen and Kennedy don't really mean too much to me. I fully appreciate they are liverpool legends but I never got to see them play. Watching the team win the league with such players as Gerrard and Carragher I then would be able to fully realise how people still love the legends of the past.

The current team would be my heroes, Like Kenny and co were to older fans.

I never thought it would end to be honest. Seemed to know that at the end of the Dalglish era things were not right but didn't actually believe it would not be anything other than a short term fix.

When we win it again, it should be fully savoured - there has been plenty of time between drinks!

I was about 11 so haven't experienced it in my adulthood. However, unless we won it on the last day of the season i'm not sure if i could be as exstatic as i was in 2005 as it will be more of a building emotion as we step closer and closer to the title. Istanbul was just completely unexpected happiness which emerged over a space of 60 odd minutes!

Istanbul was different. It was a great achievement but we were still striving for the premiership. So although the achievement was brilliant. The Premiership trophy would give greater fulfillment.

Istanbul was just something else, and I suspect nothing we ever do will come remotely close to matching that.

It would however be incredible to win the title - I was 3 when we last won it, and wasn't even a Red then.

Pretty much the same. Too young to really appreciate and remember. People are leaving school this year who weren't born when we last won the league

It would be a different kind of joy to Istanbul, but still just as good for me.

The last time we won the league was my first ever game!!

As most will remember we beat QPR 2-1 to seal the title.

After the game i remember the players doing a lap as we sang YNWA.

I thought everygame was going to be like that!!

I was 8

I was 19 and remember it well.

I'd known non-stop success and could not see it ending :(

Winning the league was just something Liverpool did. Back then we won a few titles waiting to get back into Europe. I knew we’d be challenging for the European cup again before long…. :(

Yeah, me to. I was 18. It was all just glory. Found myself almost "more" of a fan in the 90s as I defended what a lot of the time was the indefenseable as we played more and more pointless football. Then there was the 1995-97 period where I was convinced we were back and would win the title only to be brought severely back to the ground in 1999. 2001 & 2002 brought back the hopes agian, only to be dashed.

However, I think this is the best squad of players we've had since 1987-88 and I've never been more nervous of what we might actually achive over the next 5 years.

That's a good expression actually, and pretty much sums up how I feel.

I remember losing it in '89 more than I remember winning it the next year.

Funnily enough, I think my first game was the season after we won it. So I suppose it may well be my fault.

Ditto. I was thirteen and I can't remember anything about the last league win. I do remember biting the edge of the table for about ten minutes and staring tearfully at the screen after the Arsenal match the year before and my mam telling my sister not to slag me.

Can't remember last time, and can't imagine that it will be the same feeling as a Cup. I presume it will depend on how we win it: whether it's in a final day win or depends on our rival losing in their match the following day type-thing...

I Actually supported Liverpool when we were s***....

So no I can't remember or wasn't around when we won the league

Me too, may have been a bit of complacency to blame there. A 'back to normal' kind of thing.

I was 16 and, like Cunny said, I thought it would never end. After a lifetime of trophies, you just couldn't imagine it was all going to end so abruptly.

Then Istvan Kozma arrived.... :hmm:

I was 18 and it was my first season as a season ticket holder. Went downhill sonce, we've won f*** all of any importance since...

that was cos it was live on the telly and was the biggest ever kick in the balls from a football game i've ever had (obvious references to Heysel/Hillsborough excepted)

I remember Ronnie Rosenthal's on loan appearances that led to our last title.

Only 15 though. I thought we'd win it again the following year too.. Amazing how complacency sets in?

Spent the 90's making unreasonable statements and daft statements while defending us from the Mancs who popped up like Lemmings everywhere..

I'd love to win it again soon.. Our club seems lost without it.

I was in the ground the last time we won the league, but it was that long ago I can't remember what it was like :(
