meredithmathieson Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Because otherwise, if we were playing the Portsmouths/Readings of the world, I really think we could have seen vocal crowd dissent towards the pair of them after this debacle.
Guest Scot Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Because otherwise, if we were playing the Portsmouths/Readings of the world, I really think we could have seen vocal crowd dissent towards the pair of them after this debacle. Nah, you're way off. You think we'd boo and hold up signs because a gang of Arabs didn't buy LFC? Have a word.
fyds Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Agree with Scot - some will be pissed off but some will be pleased - most of us don't know enough of what happened to be sure either way and besides, who cares when we're playing Everton?
Alonso Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Not that his sources are anything to go by by Graham Beacroft said that had it not been the derby he heard from various people that there would have been a protest outside Anfield this weekend.
DanielS Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I've been reliably informed that if it wasn't for it being a Derby this weekend there would have been a plague of locusts at Anfield and rivers of blood would have run through the streets outside. All called off now though because we're playing Everton.
Benitez Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 lol at all this stuff, post after post like the fecin world has ended, and that Rick Parry is the anti-christ. Pathetic stuff. People are getting nicely whipped into a hysteria on here thanks to the sterling work of a few drama queens.
Leo No.8 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Because otherwise, if we were playing the Portsmouths/Readings of the world, I really think we could have seen vocal crowd dissent towards the pair of them after this debacle. You need to get yourself back on that Newcastle forum mate. 'Shephard out, Shepard out...'
Bailo Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Nah, you're way off. You think we'd boo and hold up signs because a gang of Arabs didn't buy LFC? Have a word. It was "consortium" only a few days ago!!

DanielS Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 b******s. If people were that arsed they would protest anyway No, its all true. A deposit had been paid for the plague of locusts to God's Vengeful Wrath, Ltd. before someone realised that it was derby day and cancelled the whole thing.
McBain Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) Neither Parry or Moores rhyme with any insults I can think of But there's still time Edited February 2, 2007 by Mcbain
jon_hall Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I love internet forums, give me a laugh every day.
Romario Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Anyone who protested I hope would be laughed at. How can you protest about something you know nothing about?Jesus football fans are so far up their own arses. Complaining constantly about players not putting in 100% in on the pitch and slagging off a board that has helped bring in countless trophies and 2 great managers over the last decade all while spending 24/7 posting on forums during their own working time. How many of these people who are currently "livid" and claiming the board don't have a clue have been involved in complex deals which hit the half billion mark? 1%........0.00001%? Blahhh....

Whitey Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Totally confused by these reactions on this side of the world... DIC made valid offer but wanted to run LFC as a "business", two sports mad N.American multi millionaires make a better offer, want to add to their sports interests (Montreal Canadienes are like a religion here) and one of them has a history of building world leading stadia for his teams... Did I miss something?
meredithmathieson Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 I never mentioned placards, nor protests outside the ground. Nor did I say I supported any such action [and therefore feel no need to go any other clubs sites, thankyou]. I merely posed a question. I don't think it beyond the realms of possibility that you would have heard something along the lines of 'What the f**k is going on?', today, if we weren't playing the Blues****, that's all. And if anybody thinks this is being up my own a*** etc. etc. then fair enough, but when was the last time Liverpool had to go Front Page in the Echo with 'Trust Us' , when was the last time Bascombe had a real go at the handling of things, when was the last time the Stalinist Loyalty squad of Richie Pedder & Les Lawson publicly criticised the club? There are a lot of confused and angry Liverpool fans out there at the moment. This I would regard as stating a fact, not getting into the rights and wrongs of whether or not they should be. Can't decide whether the best analogy is from 1984 [DIC our allies, Gillett bad. No, Gillett has always been our friend, DIC are the enemy] or whether we are the pissed bloke in the nightclub who, after nearly hitting it off with the dead fit bird who you've been chatting to for ages, has been blown out/cocked it up and realises that it's approaching the slowies so is desparately looking around for whatever's going.
hideNseek Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Graham Beacroft The blokes a c*** and knows nowt about nowt. Or it could be we suddenly realised this fit bird is a ladyboy?
meredithmathieson Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 So was it Rick or David who applied the Crocodile Dundee test?

You be the pissed bloke in the nightclub who, after nearly hitting it off with the dead fit bird you've been chatting to for ages, realises she isn't what she first appeared to be (a la The Crying Game) immediately sober up and go back to converse with the smarter, less flamboyant, more honest bird you should have been chatting to anyway. And now she's got a friend with her. Edited February 3, 2007 by mooks

floyd Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Why do people quote this Beacroft fella, as he seems to spout out sensationistic bullsh1t. It's his job as he works for a sensationistic bullsh1t radio station. Set up by that tw4t that is McKenzie.People should realsie, he's no more in the know, as the next man in the street.
Tosh Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 People should realsie, he's no more in the know, as the next man in the street. Is that more or less "in the know" than someone who spends their time on here?
