i had to laugh at him waving to the bench for some help with the blood.

i thought some old geezer in the Moan Stand could have given him a kleenex!!

he couldn't walk around the pitch himself? lazy prima donna.

I was particulalrly impressed with how he kept his reactions in check...one quick 'you're dead, you are' look at the guy once his head cleared and then remembered to keep his cool.

I was right in the corner of the upper anny and its just looked like a push, thought Riise was being soft - obviously realised it wasn't when he ran off the pitch

Did the fella proper stick the nut on him then?

He did the c***!

JAR's lack of reaction was very commendable. :) Imagine if it had been Robben or Dogbreath? Would've been a double somersault, triple backflip ending in the Fosbery Flop

poor game, but in this day and age it was nice to see him stay on his feet after the head-butt. wonder what robben would have made of it?

:applause:

Fecking right. Well in JAR. Dirty fecking b******s, all that because they didnt like us taking a quick free kick. :hmm:

to be fair it drew blood instantly, a marvellous head butt

There was very little flexing of the neck either, the equivalent of backlift for a striker.

Just generated the power suddenly, catching Jonny Rockets off guard with its sudden impact.

it was actually after we took a throw in. They kicked the ball out because their player was 'injured' and expected it back. Riise had other ideas and put Garcia through on goal when they weren't ready. Ref pulled us back though.

f*** them, they were all trying to get Momo sent off

Would have been nicer if someone in the Centenary could have handed him one, save the walk round ;)

He was never touched and a long nail on Riise's hand did the damage as he dug it into his own head to make it appear he was butted. (French press)

Seriously, though Bordeaux are saying he made a meal of the headbutt, how the hell do you stay on your feet and not react and make a meal of it, b*****d cheese eating surrender monkeys.

It truly was a marvellous head butt. It didnt have the run up of zidane either.

Excellent.

Bit of a flukey headbutt too, he caught JAR on the sharp corner of the eye brow bone, boxers nightmare, causes loades of instant bleeding, making it look worse than it was. Of course, that worked even more in our favour. :D

It sort of goes to prove the adage, "if he's rolling around that much, he isn't fecking hurt".

One day Robben is going to get his achilles tendon sliced from behind and there won't be a move out of him for ten minutes.

I liked the way that the other Bordeaux player ran up to Riise after the headbutt and (with blood dripping down his face) seemed to be accusing him of play acting.

it wasn't as spectacular a headbutt as ZZ's, but it has the advantage of drawing blood.

JAR's reaction was better than Materazzi's too.

all in all - 2 top draw ;) headbutts seen in recemt months. long may it continue
