This has been an ongoing thing with me and the usual suspects I go the match with... there's a thread about it on RAOTL... but here's a few snippets of how it all started. The main thing is that there's a few of us growing muzzies for the final. But the big decision is what style to go for...

Didn't they do something similar to that in Rugby and it ended up with the lower placed teams winning as they had match practise whereas the top 'seeded' team hadn't played for a couple of weeks.

2005 was a new experience for my generation. We'd never been to a European Cup final, so that Chelsea game to get us there was the most nerve-wracking experience of my life. 2005 was miles better, however I actually think 2007 was possibly louder in actual volume as I think there were more songs sung, but not a better atmosphere as in 2005 it was just a roar and a cheer for every tackle, block, pass and shot. Nothing will ever beat the 2005 Semi-final for me... the first and the best!! The same as my Dad always said about Rome...

So did I... but the lad swore blind and I know for a fact he did the job he said he did, and know a couple of people high up at the club too. I think part of it was that Ron Noades owned 50% of the player and subsidised the wage knowing he'd make a killing when he was sold at a big profit (There's a chance I might be getting the Rowlands wage and Hreidasson wage mixed up too as this was 2 years ago). I deffo remember being told that when Hreidarsson was sold at a big profit hardly any of the money went into the club... it went to noades.

When Martin Rowlands was at Brentford he was on something daft like 8k or 10k a week... and they were in Div 3 at the time!!! My mate worked in the office and got to see the wage slips. Also... I'm sure Hriedarson was on a daft wage there too...

Pretty much every video on You Tube of Liverpool fans has that kind of s*** on it. It seems that fans of certain other teams trawl through the internet for stuff about Liverpool to post s**** on it. f*** them... it's thier obsession... leave us to go gathering Cups in May!!

I always thought it was under the guise of "Ungentlemanly Conduct". And you could link it in with the 6 second to kick it rule as if the attacker stayed at the keepers side to do what he did then it'd prevent the keeper from kicking the ball... which would be an offence, so you could almost make the opposition keeper commit an offence. A fella in our pub (a Manc) reckoned that the goal should have stood AND that it wasn't a penno as there was a slight touch on the ball. Clown!!
