My Dad started going when he was a kid, but in those days he, like many of that generation, went to watch Liverpool one week, and Everton the next. As money got tighter he couldn't afford to go to watch both, so ended up just going to Liverpool. The reason for this is he idolised Billy Liddell (Everton were the more succesful and bigger club at the time) so Liverpool it was. As such, My Dad's been going to watch Liverpool for 65 now (He's 70 this year) and when you've got a match-going Dad you haven't got a choice - even if like my family you're exiled (we've been in Derby since 1968). I got my 1st season ticket at the age of 7 and I've had it indoctrinated into me since day 1. And to think I should have been a Blue, as my Dad was adopted and al of my blood family are Blues... but that's a story I've told before but I'll save for another day!!
