All I'll say is that I had a bet on Crouch & 3-0 yesterday, and as the 2nd went in yesterday I said "if we can get another goal quick we can put Kuyt on and shut up shop". I was only half joking!!

Can we buy Villa please? Either 'David' from Valencia to play alongside Torres or 'Aston' so we can claim Barry for left back, and Agbonlahor for up front and the wing too? Ashley Young is better than what we've got too.

Mascherano - By a country mile Kev / Snorky - For his 'assist' for Crouch's goal Crouch - Didn't play great, but got a goal and an assist.

I for one couldn't disagree any more!! 1) The "protest" songs were in addition to the "support" songs if you compare it to any other League game. Yes, in an ideal world we'd have "support" songs booming out as loud and for as long as the "protest" songs were, but when was the last time that happened in a League game at Anfield? There were loads of "Oh when the Reds", "Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool", "FOAR" etc 2) Whilst it's not "The Liverpool Way" times have changed. We don't have the likes of Sir John Smith, Peter Robinson and the like keeping the club ticking over in the background any more. We have two clowns who could destroy this club as we know it and bring it crumbling down around us, leaving us in possibly crippling debt, and god knows where on the pitch. Where else can our feelings be made known? We've been lied to and that's totally unacceptable. 3) Whilst the current atmosphere and environment may have an impact on the team, I'd actually argee that in a way it actually took some of the pressure off the team and the manager. Can you imagine the boos at the end of the game if we'd had this run without a win and there wasn't this protest atmosphere? That would have been all over the press and piled the pressure on Rafa and the team, even more so than now. I'd also argue that I'm willing to make small sacrifices in the short term to protect the club in the long term. And to do that we need these 2 liars out of our club. I'm not for one minute saying that DIC are going to be our saviours - they are an investment company after all - but with what the Americans have done (especially after all the false promises) we need them out!! 3) I agree about the "fat head" chant. Funny at the right time and right place, but diluted the effect on Monday.

Got a match-worn Sami Hyypia shirt with genuine Riverside Stadium mud on it. Can't remember what year it's from but Chris Riggott scored against us that day!! I'm guessing it's the signatures that add the value... and I'd never sell it anyway!!

Seen him play at centre half a fair few times at Derby, and unless he's got more mobile, actually learnt how to head the ball, and how to tackle without giving away daft free kicks then i can't see it lasting. he can hit a pass though, so i reckon he'd do better in a slower paced league...

It was absolutely boss tonight. And I have a funny feeling that Brian Reade's column on Saturday will be giving it a big mention as he was bouncing in the middle of 306 and looked made up with it.
-
Is right!! (But the 'formality' bit still scares me)
-
Especially as Robbie Savage has replaced him as captain at Derby!! Hahaha

I actually don't think that's fair, and for once I'll stick up for those horrible c****. I'm sure I've read that they have been absolutely adament that the replica kit and the like will not be available for public sale. If they were to auction the kit off for the victims families or ex=players association of something that would be a different matter and fair enough.

I'd argue that the only flops on that list (though I've not considered the kids) are: Josemi Morientes Paletta Leto I guess others may say the following, but listed is why I don't: Gonzalez - Made money on him Bellamy - Did a job and made money on him Pellegrino - Free & kept Sami fresh for Europe Kuyt - 6 months ago I'd have in the the maybe list, so he deserves more time before I write him off as a flop. Nunez - Didn't lose money on him. Did a job at a time when the squad as weaker. Kromkamp - Didn't lose money on him and it meant we got rid of Josemi - actually, he's a HIT for that!! Aurelio - On a free so no real loss. Still a better option than Riise when fit Pennant - Paid over the odds, but done a decent job, whilst not being good enough for a title winning XI I guess the problem is that not many have been 'brilliant' signings.

Not sure if you're fishing, but isn't that what we played yesterday and Rafa got slated for it?
-
I eas expecting this to say Santa Cruz seeing as he scored 2 tonight!!
-
True. but on the plus side at least it'd reduce some of the media/fan hype over rotation... If we had £20m to spend we'd be snapping up Mascherano who's desperate to join us, and not leaving him in tears (allegedly) by telling him we can't sort the deal... Hopefully it won't be too late come the summer and we'll be able to get the money together.

I hads thoughts about sacking off going the match after Istanbul simply because I'd seen it all. Say we'd have won the League in 2002 or something I genuinely think there's a decent chance I'd have sacked off being a home and awayer and become a part timer. Saying all that, it's all a bit hypothetical as whilst i thought about it I don't think it ever became a serious consideration. It's a habit and something I've grown up doing so it'd be hard to give up.

Maybe because yours is exactly the type of post that would get dug out and highlighted if we don't get a result and would make us look like a bunch of arrogant t***s... Spouting off about how "we're gonna do this and gonna do that" is the kind of trick you'd expect from our rivals... and the type of s**** we'd take the piss out of them for. Confidence is one thing... outright arrogance is another!!

Arrogant d****ead alert more like!! Makes us sound like gobby Manc c****...

I don't think he has Barnes will be down the left with Pearson in the middle.
