Thank god for that!! Some of the 'suggestions' for songs & banners etc on various forums leave me shaking my head in dismay!!

On RAOTL there's been some debate about getting the words to a chant sung by PAOK fans in Greece (as well as Argentinian fans to name but two). I think you'd find that if the top were rotated 90 degrees the visual element of the joke (where artistic licence dictates that the problems faced with actually wearing the top are ignored for the benefit of the gag) would remain relevant as the horizontal black and white stripes would be in the spirit of the stereotypical thiefs attire, whereas if the stripes were rotated 180 degrees they would remain vertical balck and white stripes and the visual element of this would be that it looks like... erm... a Newcastle top? Never does Wayne's weekly post grab your attention as much as today. "Just back from the match". It's a ynwa tradition. Week in, week out he does his little summary. We take it for granted. Most will read it religiously as he gives a brief snippet or two about the day, the match and the lifestyle so many of us follow. Yet 18 years ago things were so different. How can so many go to the match and not come back?
