There's no way he won't be lining up options for if/when he gets the heave ho. He's pretty much run out of options at the top European clubs, so that well be the best option for him.

It's a weird season where we've 30 points out of 36 and yet are still considered pretty unlikely to win the title. It would be lovely to see a couple of unexpected Man City slip-ups between now and Christmas, just to put a bit of doubt into their play

I think it only allows them to match any bid another club makes, so not sure how valuable that really would be in practice if his heart is set on a move to another club. Like us, obviously.

We're top of the league and are unbeaten after a run that includes 3 of our hardest fixtures, averaging nearly 2.5 points a game. We're not perfect and not matching some of our attacking play of last year, but by any reasonable yardstick it's been an outstanding start to the season. -

Good summary of the situation. I know it might be wildly optimistic to say, but I think if Lallana can actually get and stay fit, he could make a real contribution to the creativity we need to see more of. -

Yeah, unbelievable. Something special about an outside of the boot pass. Two other Gerrard classics: a volley to Riise that was quite like the Alexander-Arnold one (and Gerrard wasn't responsible for what Riise did next) and one against Leeds for Heskey (I think) to round the keeper and score.
